Amazing property close to downtown Sao Miguel. Shopping and restaurants near by. Great front desk staff. Turkish baths were quite relaxing after long days of exploring this beautiful island. Rooms were spacious and very nice! Would definitely stay here again.

This is a beautiful property with old world charm. We were surprised that beds were not more comfortable and of better quality. Also, no top sheet - only comforter which was too hot. However, upon request we were provided with top sheet. Location of hotel has its positives and negatives. It's located in the heart of a popular square downtown which makes it extremely noisy during busy times. Thankfully, we were on the 4th floor which helped with noise level. Staff very pleasant and accommodating. Breakfast very limited and not the best. I skipped it several days. Indoor pool is beautiful but be aware of tiles around the pool as extremely slippery. My husband took a fall as tiles were wet from children playing. Seems type of tiles not the best option for pool area. They have a nice bar/lounge area with entertainment on some evenings. Overall, a nice experience.

Breakfast staff are excellent. The room has a strange set up.. There is a step to get into the room after you open the door. Tiny bathroom, no bathtub, bidet and a tiny shower division which floods the bathroom, 2 small mattress makes a double bed., 1 coffee capsule and water are offered only on the first night. It needs to improve on comfort. No cushions on the sofa etc

A very nice and atmospheric building, decorated quite well in almost every aspect. Indoor pool area was under maintenance during my stay however, and I was disappointed that I was not notified of this beforehand. On my first night, a cockroach had slipped into my bathroom as well. Otherwise the room was good, with a wide coverage of the Fort and the Square. Breakfast buffet was fair, supper buffet was lacking.

Still construction around, but very good for the city. Very clean, no annoying insects. High price, paid in full, but I did not benefit from all the facilities because they do not work (spa, gym), or are not yet in operation and the smell of fresh paint is everywhere. They could work on the offer to customers and when all the works are finished, maybe it becomes even more interesting.

Beautiful hotel

New hotel looks beautiful. Central pool is a nice calm environment. Staff are all very kind. Room was spacious and quiet. Breakfast was varied and good. As it is new, it has some minor teething problems which should be resolved in the next month or so.
