I have stayed here before and it is one of the few hotels in Plymouth that has air-conditioning in the bedrooms, a hairdryer and iron. There are also flavored water and apples available in the lobby every day for guests. The staff is always lovely. It is very close to the mall, food and the Barbican. The restaurant is good and has a very cheerful bar area after a long, rainy day.

was unable to eat in the restaurant on any of my three nights as i was told there was no chance .I chose this hotel as it was advertised you had a great restaurant. So we had to eat in the bar where there was just one lady run off her feet doing the best she could. To top it all they did not have any steak dishes on the Saturday night and there would not not be any on Sunday because they could not be delivered. Very disappointed.

I stay at this hotel regularly, it is clean and very close to the Barbican and sea front. However it is getting much more expensive, and the facilities are just tired, broken shelf in the room, soap dispenser hanging off the wall, a loo that took 5 attempts to flush etc. The door restrictors are all worn out, doors slam violently and there's no sleeping after the first of the early birds leave their room. Even the uniforms for the very friendly reception staff look well worn to say the least. On this trip the towels smelled vaguely of chips!! Time for a refresh!!

What wasn't to like the people, the food, the room the place was Amazing from drinks I recommend the White New Zealand wine new world gooseberry, vegan food I had I was very happy to see dolmar bulgar wheat 🍆on the cards sold me to lush meat meals, the free grape fruit water was banging to be honest with you. The breakfast was good variety bonus for having goji berries, Pig peak time bacon ham on low trof alot to choose from. Spatulars for allergies want manufacture labeling for restaurants. I possibly should have gone to restaurant again in evening but I went down late eating so 9pm I preferring to eat in the TV bar area was nicer for me watch bit TV so was the room to chill online clear in house shop so it 😎 not leaving work area, near by 24 hour shop in seconds next to cinema & not far from smetons tower sea front or barbican minutes for sea wade. They lost customer at bar area because it not perminately manned they need a notice to ask reception or buzzer to get them should they of gone to kitchen. The only teething issue was something had happen so go I couldn't late book over counter which was then a nightmare as sent off, I was so tired have injury that not being told to just go on line to book after being told yes room avail to waste time walking to plaza to search they sold out, prior book I had internet issues so it of been nicer having arrived late to get told rooms avail to just take seat, to go on line join & book through that

Perfectly fine city centre hotel - needs a little love and was rammed with two coach parties when I visited, which made breakfast a bit of a zoo. Elbows out !

Reception staff was lovely , eficient and friendly. Room was a nice size. Beds very comfy and clean. Carpets need a full clean as tyere was coffee and drinks stains , brown stains , and carpets generally look like they need a good clean. Even in the hallways. And couple of the lifts was temperamental .

Unfortunately this place is looking very old, and out of date. But still very expensive. Car park is awful, shows use of drug use. Felt unsafe park, the hotel was limited dining but very overpriced. Sadly I would not recommend.
