Wonderful Stay – Highly Recommended! I stayed at this hotel and had an excellent experience from start to finish. Excellent choice if staying in this small, somewhat remote city. Beautiful building and rooms. I stayed for five nights… there are some service hiccups for us westerners, but all is forgiven due to the very friendly and earnest staff. The food is excellent and I don’t say that often. Breakfast is a vast spread featuring both western and Asian dishes including omelette and noodle stations. I had cocktails and dinner four different nights and everything was fresh, hot, and delicious.

Special thanks to the general manager and all the staff at the Melia di Phu ly who did everything to make our stay pleasant. We were looking for a quiet place not far from Hanoi to relax, and so it was.

big clean room with nice staffs. Water temperature from the shower was unpredictable (suddenly turned too hot or too cold). Breakfast spread was not good with many tasteless dishes (only a hand full of customers eating breakfast each day during my 3-day stay so it was tough for the chef to cook many dishes for such a small crowd).

Just an escape from Hanoi pollution

The area is not used to foreigners, but also, kids in the hotel were rowdy (splashing water at us, ringing our doorbell and running away). There are not that many places nearby to eat at, not many attractions. But it was a nice escape from Hanoi pollution.
