From the moment you arrive, the calm waters, fresh bay breeze, and open horizon create an instant sense of relaxation. The river stretches out in front of you, sparkling in the morning sun and glowing softly in the evening light. The scent of the bay air, the sound of gentle waves lapping at the shoreline, and the sight of seabirds gliding overhead all combine to create a setting that feels worlds away from the bustle of everyday life, yet you’re surprisingly close to major cities and attractions. A Cozy, Comfortable, and Newly Renovated Cottage Sailor’s Sunrise Cottage has been thoughtfully renovated to blend cozy coastal charm with modern comforts. The open living spaces are bright and welcoming, with large windows that frame the water just steps from your door. The adorable galley kitchen is both stylish and functional, featuring beautiful granite countertops and all the cookware, dishes, and utensils you need to prepare anything from casual breakfasts to fresh seafood dinners. Brew a pot of coffee and enjoy it on the porch as the sun rises, or whip up a picnic lunch to take with you on the boat. The kitchen flows into the dining area, where a table positioned near the windows lets you enjoy the views while you eat. Sleeping Spaces with a View The cottage includes two comfortable bedrooms plus a private sleeping area on the enclosed porch. This porch space is one of the highlights of the home—it offers an amazing waterfront view right from bed. Imagine waking up to soft morning light shimmering on the river, with nothing between you and the horizon but calm water. All bedding and linens are included, as well as beach towels for days spent swimming, kayaking, or lounging in the sun. Outdoor Living at Its Best Step outside, and you’ll find that the outdoor spaces at Sailor’s Sunrise Cottage are just as inviting as the indoors. A picnic table provides a perfect setting for crab feasts, while a patio set with a fire pit is ready for evening gatherings under the stars. A charcoal grill is available for summer barbecues and casual outdoor meals. Water access here is unbeatable. A sandy-bottom swimming area offers a safe and refreshing place to cool off on warm days. Guests can fish or crab directly from the bulkhead, or bring along kayaks, jet skis, or small boats to launch from the ramp right next to the house. Positives - view across the bay and fire pit.Negatives:-Unkempt yardDangerous swing set and decrepit climbing frameOpen shed with lots of trash insideRusting grill being adsorbed by the vegetationIncomplete property fence with two stacks of fence panels and poles awaiting installationMain property picture shows the neighbors deck implying it’s part of the property. Cobwebs in all windows (between double glazing), some windows cracked, ants on the main floor (replaced old bait stations with new ones).First bedroom is actually the entrance hall/mud room. 3 ft gap between bed on one side and chest of draws (with missing handles) on the other. No cooling or heat in this cupboard.Main bedroom minimalistic, only cooling is a ceiling fan. No bedside lamps anywhere. Need door open to prevent roasting, one blind not attached properly, will fall out of the bracket when you try to adjust it.Main room was OK.Kitchen very small, no dishwasher and only two tea towels, minimalistic pots, pans and cooking utensils. You can heat food up but not suitable for real cooking. Washing machine malfunctioned on first use and was not used again. Traveled home to get additional clothes and tea towels.Sun room - this room is the dinning room and second useable bedroom (separated by a curtain from dining area).Minimalistic seems to be the mantra of this property. Without the view it would be a one star rating.

This View!!
We came to visit our son in Aberdeen for a long weekend. This was the perfect home base for our family. It is a cute and cozy cottage right on the water!! There are two queen beds and a full bed. Five of us stayed. One of the teens opted for the couch so they didn’t have to share a bed. The sleeping porch is the cutest! My adult daughter claimed that bed and the sunrise view is indescribable! The sleeping porch has its own AC unit and is super cool during this heat wave. We played games and cards every night around the big table on the sleeping porch. Lots of memories made! We drove to D.C. and it took about an hour and a half. Not bad. Drove to Wilmington and Newark, Delaware as well. Havre d’ grace is super close with lots of cute shops and restaurants like The Tidewater to eat on the water. The host had a box fan available which was nice for nighttime. (If you have to sleep with a fan, you know!)Other things: the water pressure in the shower is amazing! They left us plenty of toilet paper and paper towels, which is nice. They even provided beach towels in addition to bath towels. We used the washer/dryer- if you’ve not used a combo system like that before, just be prepared that it takes longer than a usual separate washer and dryer. Still, what a convenience! Short story: We loved it!

Small Cottage Beautiful Sunsets Needs Upkeeping
This cottage was very cute inside, but could use some curb appeal. When we pulled up, we were worried what the inside looked like. The front bedroom is literally in front of the door, so no one wanted to sleep in that room. The back bedroom in the sunroom, got very cold. The front door would not properly lock, and we realized that you could punch in any number to unlock it. The inside was very cute and updated, but there needs to be some repairs to justify the price. Bedroom doors did not shut well, the fridge door did not shut well, and the dryer gave us issues to the point, we had to leave the towels we brought inside of it. Communication was delayed but overall, it was a good experience for what we needed, but I would not choose this spot again. For comparable prices, there were much nicer options that we wish we would have taken.

Peaceful, Waterfront Cottage
Don’t judge a “book” by the cover. The curb appeal of the home needs a little sprucing but once inside we were beyond please with the cleanliness, use of space and amazing waterfront location offered through the beautiful views from the back of the property. We stayed as a family of 5 while traveling for a lacrosse tournament. We had plenty of space. The “porch bedroom” was a favorite! The house had all we needed and an easy drive to the fields. The use of kayaks was a great perk to fill our time while not at the lacrosse fields! We would highly recommend for anyone looking for time on the water, can’t get any closer!

Super clean and cute cottage on the water!
LOVED the sun porch set up; flowy curtains with black out curtain option, table with bench seat, the queen daybed was a favorite during our stay, super comfy and unique.
Great soft side hot tub in backyard was clean and relaxing. Also made great use of the outdoor furniture around the fire pit with new cushions for comfort.
Neighborhood was quiet and green.
Jessica was timely and responsive.

Charming place with several private sleeping areas. My favorite was the screened in porch. Pet friendly and literally right on the water. Close to the small town of Charlestown. Play equipment for children. I didn't use the hot tub but it was conveniently already heated.

Compact little gem
This cozy cottage packs a lot of comfort and convenience into a small space, with gorgeous views out over the river. The kitchen was efficient and well-equipped, the seating throughout was spacious and comfortable, and the whole place is charmingly decorated. There were several thoughtful amenities, including an outdoor fire pit, hot tub, playground equipment, and two kayaks. The whole place was sparkling clean, and the owner quickly responded to all questions.

Amazing summer weekend at the cottage!!
My friends and I had the best weekend here. It was the perfect spot by the river (mornings and sunsets were especially dreamy). The house included kayaks, a smart tv for the occasional rainy day, ample outdoor seating, a great hot tub, fire pit, and everything you need for an amazing summer weekend. The neighborhood was super cute and the host, Jess, was extremely responsive and helpful. We didn’t want to leave!! Will definitely be back.
