Lovely little motel with a great pool area and common grass area. Very close to the lake for swimming and walking or biking. Rooms are great for the price, not fancy. Very friendly staff

My stay at the Valley Star Motel was pleasant. It’s an older property, but the refurbished room was spotless and tastefully simple, which I really appreciated. The room provisions were minimal but practical, including only essential toiletries, a desk, coffee maker, microwave, and fridge; essentially a tiny kitchen setup. The owner-operator who greeted me was kind and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Great service from the manager and they explained everything we needed to know about the room. Very clean (with a few dusty corners) but well cleaned. The doors might need WD40 but that’s it. The AC was in the room and it was fantastic to have on the hot days. The pool was very well maintained and the perfect temperature. VERY walkable to the lake and to a few restaurants. Would stay again!

The friendly accommodating owner of the Valley Star takes such pride in her place and it shows. Over 2 decades of family run business, it is spotless, spacious and comfortable. Full size fridge, stove, oven, comfortable beds and a couple blocks walk to the beach or restaurants make it such great value. My husband and I enjoyed staying here very much.

The mother daughter duo that own this are wonderful. The building is so well kept, clean and cute. The courtyard in the center is great for hanging outside the rooms. A block and a half away from the beach too!

The motel has a cozy vibe and the person at the front desk was lovely. She was warm and friendly through the check-in and check-out process being very accommodating to our request to have 2 vehicles at the property. I was there for work, so I didn't get a chance to use all the amenities but from what I saw, there were BBQs, a pool, and a few areas to sit outside either in the sun or the shade. This location is tremendously convenient if you're looking to hang out at Skaha beach. It's also only about a 2 minute drive away from a Walmart to do any grocery shopping. The room was very clean with multiple towels. They don't do daily room cleanings, but you can request fresh towels by putting the used ones out by 11am. The room does come with a coffee maker, fridge/freezer, and microwave. The AC worked tremendously well for the Summer temperatures we faced. The only thing that might bother some people would be the walls are very very thin. These are portable style walls, so you will hear children, TV, or any other noises from your next door neighbour. Overall, I would 100% stay here again.
