New Years Stay

Second time staying at The George. Confusion at check in we had booked a pet friendly room which the hotel had no record of. I did have the emails to confirm this but the hotel managed to find a pet friendly room, not sure what would have happened if there wasn’t one available! Nice staff and very nice well catered for breakfast and a very pet friendly hotel which is important to us.

Hotel out of the ark

The staff were helpful the food was poor and very expensive ( pay extra for cappuccino at breakfast) .Buffet breakfast very poor worthy of the most basic chain travel hotels . Hotel took me back 30 years to the early 90’s

This historic hotel has charm! The bed was comfortable, the room was quiet. It's in a great location. No air conditioning, but a fan was provided and the windows opened, so it was fine. The food in the restaurant was mediocre.

Older hotel (stairs only-- no lift) but fairly pleasant. Decent and clean room. Dining/breakfast options were just "OK"--not terribly good or exciting. You have to call for your own taxis, which is rather annoying in a "full service" hotel; I was unable to get any taxi co to take me to the rail station, but the front desk lady was super helpful and found a solution--so kudos for that!
