Return to the Midwest

A very clean and pleasant property. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and visit with our eldest daughter, her fiancé, and granddaughter. Unfortunately, the weather did not cooperate but it did not dampen the joy of spending time with our family.We really enjoyed the house and all amenities provided! We did have to replace a toaster, but it was nothing for us to do so. We hope to be able to book this property again!

Laid Back Getaway

My family had a weekend trip to the area for a wedding. This was our second time staying. We enjoy the little pond and porch swing. Having easy access to kitchen and open concept living room is great for kids.

Awesome Stay

We had an awesome stay at this lake house it was so cozy and secluded the best country setting ever truly enjoyed the fishing at anytime of day or night on the property Did not get to experience the paddle boat but it was exciting to know that the activity was available for outdoor enjoyment The neighbor's dogs came to visit however, the property manager took care of that immediately. thatimmediatelappropriately orsomething.

Nice quiet place and town

Great stay and place. Location is nice and new paved roads out front. Location is in a weird spot to get to from the main road, will need to take super sharpe right, tough as party were on motorcycles.

Couple with an older Mother. Much easier than room cards, elevators, getting dressed to go out each time when something is needed. We appreciated that the house was like home.

Cornfield pond

This was a great getaway from the busy city. We used it as a halfway point on our road trip. The night sky was so dark we were able to see so many stars. The house had every light switch labeled which made things super easy. We enjoyed staying in the country and had lots of privacy. We even went for a swim in the pond.

Perfect Vacation

This property was absolutely perfect. The kids enjoyed the lake much time was spent fishing, swimming, and paddle boating. The adults enjoyed the porch and great country views. My inlaws were able to come have a cook out. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone looking to stay in Marissa!

A Little Piece off Heaven

This is our second stay at this VRBO. If you want a place to stay where you can sit back and just enjoy the beauty of the land, sunrises, sunsets reflecting on the lake, relax and yet be close enough to the near by cities (Belleville, St Louis) and historical parks yet also small town picnics and events-this is the perfect place. Your hosts are available promptly if any need arises. The home and property is clean and well maintained. Every possible need you may have had already been addressed and available at the property. We are already starting to plan our next visit.

We absolutely loved this property! From the pond with paddle boat and fishing, outdoor seating with fire pit, front porch swing, horses next door and nearby dogs that came to visit it was the most perfect setting. Kudo's to the owners! Hopefully we will have a reason to come back and visit some day!

FANTASTIC

This is such a BEAUTIFUL property in a nice serene country atmosphere. The lake in the front yard was gorgeous. We didn’t get a chance to fish but could see them jumping. We played yard games in the gorgeous green grass in front of the house. The house was VERY comfortable. It is also worth noting that there were lots of “extras” in the cabinets and refrigerator that you just don’t find at all properties. The best of the best has to be the hosts. Rebecca was so nice and helpful. I would highly recommend this property to anyone who is ready to get away from the hustle and bustle and relax in the country.

Clean, Comfortable, Quiet, Accommodating

I needed a couple of days of peace and quiet for a much needed personal sabbatical. This house was perfect. The house is very clean, comfortable, and very well -appointed. The environment is quiet and peaceful with beautiful scenery - including a wonderful small, private lake. The hosts could not be nicer or more accommodating. I was by myself, but there is plenty of room for a family. I would definitely recommend this place - and the cost is very reasonable.

Do not hesitate to book!

This property was ahhhhh-mazing. The hosts were perfect, the house SOO adorable and clean, and the ambience beautiful. The pond is full of fish, and we enjoyed bringing our kayaks. The paddle board on the property was also so fun! The house was stocked with everything you need. The beauty of this property is simply hard to define. Lovely lovely lovely. Plus, the games available inside were a blast for our kids (and the adults). We will definitely be back.
