Hotel was fine overall, though we did not feel it matched up to the Expedia rating (9.2/wonderful). Bathroom was pretty dismal and needed a deep clean. Walls, light switches, and even ceilings had dirty handprints on them. We checked in late (check in was quick and the employee was welcoming) and upon arriving in our room, noticed that the bathroom door squeaked extremely loudly anytime we touched it. The door was so loud it woke us up overnight whenever one of us would use the washroom. We ended up buying some WD 40 the next day which solved the problem immediately. It made us wonder - Why wouldn’t the hotel have completed such a simple maintenance task long before it got that bad? Pros: beds were comfortable enough, location was good (across the street from mini golf and relatively close to shops etc), breakfast was really good and generally well-stocked Cons: in need of a good cleaning, pillows were somehow both lumpy and flat (recommend bringing your own if you can!), water pressure in shower was non-existent Would stay here again if the price is right (but would bring my own pillow and a big pack of Lysol wipes).

The staff was very sweet and kind. The room was a nice clean room. However when we asked that the sheets be changed they just made the bed and didnt change anything. We asked because the sheets were wet and we wanted dry ones - that night they were still wet

Having a pool that is only 3 feet deep is not much of a pool. The phones didn’t work. It was noisy all night. I was booked for five days and I left after one. The hotel has charged me for two even though I went back the next day to make sure I was only charge for the one night. They told me yes they had put through one night only and I was told that they had sent my receipt to my email. I have been trying now four days to get through to someone who can make a decision. I have left my phone number no one todate has called back.

The staff is the best part. They’re welcome us with three bottles of water and clear instructions. we requested daily housekeeping and they clean our room thoroughly every time. The staff also help us see some store our bikes in their storage room. We love breakfast even though it’s the same selection every day they have different types of bread muffins beverages, fresh coffee, and milk. I love the waffles and the boiled egg. They do have a fitness room and a swimming pool and hot tub but sanitary condition is questionable the route we stay at a double queen room and it’s a decent size overall it’s great value at this price point and very close to all the actions of downtown Parksville. We highly recommend it for families.

We liked everything about this hotel, closed to beaches, downtown, dining areas. The room was modern renovated, clean and comfy. We enjoyed the pool. Breakfast was also good, even though it’s repetitive. Overall, a very good experience.

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. The continental breakfast was a perk which we enjoyed. I actually liked that they use Dove for shampoo and body wash. Having a pool and gym was also a nice benefit. Highly recommend.

The staff could not have been more helpful. My friend and I had booked two rooms and were given two ground floor rooms when we checked. Aside from the fact you had to keep the curtains drawn or anyone could peer into your room which was a bit disconcerting, I didn’t feel comfortable leaving the window open at night. We requested a room change and for the second two nights had rooms on the third floor which were perfect. The staff gave us great suggestions for nearby restaurants. My only issue from an “eco” perspective is that there is so much plastic used at breakfast. I understand there may not be dishwashing facilities but it’d be nice to have real rather than plastic cutlery and washable plates and cups. Other than that, it was great.
