Outstanding and unique hotel

Amazing for few day's stay. Would return tomorrow. Great breakfast cafe and evening bars next door. Bastille restaurants 15 minutes walk and others en route. Metro 1 minute. Highly recommended for wonderful experience.

This property is a bit run down. The lobby is dark and uninviting. Seating is worn and uncomfortable. The room itself was clean. The shower situation is precarious as you need to step into a bathtub that has rounded sides and try to balance yourself as you shower.

Great location and cool atmosphere

We were a family of three visiting Paris. This is a clean, modern hotel in a great location close to cafes, Metro, and the sights at Ile St. Louis. We enjoyed the courtyard for some off-street outdoor time. The breakfast room was a bit crowded, but the food and service were awesome. Overall great location and cool atmosphere.

We booked two rooms and arrived and received two keys. When we walked into our room someone else was there. This made us and, I am sure more them, feel very unsafe, knowing anyone can be given a key and double booked into our room. When we told them they then gave us a room very far away from each other, in another building which was difficult with young children. The Ac did not work in our rooms, they offered a fan and then retracted the offer as they didn’t have one. When we arrived no one helped with our bags, it felt very unpleasant and unfriendly, I felt really embarrassed struggling with all our stuff not sure where to go and eventually one person helped us. He was very lovely and appeared to be doing everyone’s job whilst 5 other people stood behind reception looking confused and unfriendly. I also realised too late that we were charged tax on arrival even though we had already paid it via Expedia. It is impossible to get hold of them to organise use a refund, I have emailed, Whatsapped, called and messaged via Expedia and I haven’t got anywhere with this.

Acceptable and clean but I would look for other

The room was nice, but the twin beds pushed together, constantly moved apart if you slept in the middle. Also the shower head is sooooo close to the wall, you have to put your face nearly on the tiles to wash yourself. The room is very clean, well appointed otherwise. I would prefer seperate toiletries instead of the shampoo/ showergel combination

Great place to stay

Would highly recommend this hotel. I think it might be a hidden gem of a place. Great location with lots of restaurants and bars around the area to choose. The service was excellent and staff friendly and helpful especially at Reception. Breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. Room was perfect and bed comfortable!

The pictures did not reflect the condition of the property. The room was clean but the furniture was scratched and worn out. The property has a few properties so I had to walk through an open courtyard and pass a few buildings until I got to mine. The bench seats in the lobby are so worn that when I sat down I sunk to the bottom. When I got up to look how it happend I noticed the outlines of the coil were noticeable.The toilet did not flush properly. Overall the hotel is overpriced for the condition it’s in.

Les Jardins du Marais was excellent all around. The location of this neighborhood made many of the famous sites easily within walking distance (Le Louvre, Notre Dame, etc), and there were tons of great places to eat nearby. We also paid for the breakfast buffet that was available at the hotel, and I am so glad we did. The food was high quality and we ate a lot each day before heading out on the town. If there were any negatives, they were very minor. The Queen sized bed, for instance, is actually two twins pushed together, so my feet were hanging off the end of the bed. And on our final day we put up the tag to have our room made up but they never did it, which then prompted a woman to come knock on our door and try to explain in French how the signs worked. I tried to explain that we had left it up all day before we left, but I don't think she understood. All in all, however, I would still recommend this as an excellent value for the money we paid, especially with the breakfast add-on. They have a nice sauna and small gym, which we also appreciated. If we returned to Paris we would very likely stay at Les Jardins du Marais again after a wonderful full week for our first time Paris.

Les Jardins du Marais hotel was exceptionally clean with great hot water and water pressure. Stayed four nights. The bed was comfortable and the location is excellent for eating out. I found access to two different metro lines make all the tourist sites 20-30 minutes away. Many restaurants and bars are within walking distance. Two restaurants offering gastronomy tasting menus are each a block away (great for single travelers to taste a variety of foods). Checked out the hotel sauna one late afternoon and this too was impeccably clean and a wonderfully soothing experience. Highly recommend.

The buildings are set back behind a courtyard therefore away from the street noises. The breakfasts are wonderful. We'd a fairly large room and we'd a wonderful stay for a week. It's also very close to Metro 8 station.
