Nice hotel!

The front desk people are very nice and professional. The breakfast area is comfortable. The stairs are worn, but the building is crazy old. It didn't matter. It's in a very busy part of the city, so make do with noise if your window is open. Once closed though, there wasn't much street noise at all. The lift is incredibly small. You have room for one person and a piece of luggage or two people on the small side. If you are heavier, you'll have to make do with the stairs. Once in the room, it was clean and roomy enough for three people with minimal luggage. Beware there is only one useable plug in the entire room. We came during 90 degree weather. Without air conditioning the room was definitely warm. They do have a fan, but it's not very strong. We had handheld fans that we used as well. For American families, understand there are no screens in the windows. Ours opened all the way. The beds were very comfortable as well as the pillows. Breakfast was a lot for us: one regular croissant, one chocolate croissant, one baguette, plus access to yogurt, applesauce, cheese, cereal and juice per person. We were able to leave our luggage in a closet directly across from the front desk after checking out. All told, this is a great hotel to stay in.

The hotel was in a great location only a short walk from the Louvre and great restaurants. The staff were very friendly. The Wi-Fi and elevator were out of service for a couple of days during our stay. Otherwise, it was a pleasant visit.

Couldn’t recommend this hotel more. Me and a friend (both young women) stayed here for two nights and we couldn’t have asked for better. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Old hotel with charm but very clean. Our room was cleaned while we were there even tho it was only two nights (they asked permission to clean it which I thought was a nice touch). Incredible location steps from the Louvre and right by access to the metro. Good restaurants nearby too. 24hr reception and hairdryer and WiFi in our room. Warm rooms which was great for the April weather. Our room had high ceilings and a massive window that opened fully(no.7). Water pressure in the shower was great and so was the temperature. They also held our bags after checkout as our flight wasn’t til late. All staff has great English (much like most of the people we encountered in Paris) overall a great place to spend your stay in paris

Location location location…. You can see the louvre from the front door. Everything is within walking distance. Lots of restaurants close by. The rooms are clean and well-kept.

A great location. The staff was very helpful and accommodating. The property shows it’s age, but the rooms are renovated and the staff is very helpful. It’s a great deal to stay near all of the things in central Paris.

Best value in Paris!

This is our 2nd stay at Hotel Montpensier. The first time was in 2018 with friends. This time we came with our 2 sons and their girlfriends. We booked 3 rooms and we are very pleased with our stay. If you can get past the small elevator, this hotel is absolutely the best value in my opinion. This is our 4th visit to Paris Great location, clean rooms, and friendly and helpful staff. I highly recommend this hotel. I sure will be back! Thank you Montpensier staff for making our family vacation very enjoyable.
