Another great stay

Our third time at Malama and it wasn't once again great! Some of the communal areas and the rooms could do with a bit of TLC, but i understand this is on the cards inntine for next summer. Kids (6&8) loved the evening entertainment. Big thank you to Alexia and the team.

Great resort for families and relaxing

We loved our stay at Malama Beach. The staff is very helpful and responsive to all requests, the resort is immaculate, Dining room staff always around the table to clean and serve, the buffet selections are varied, colorful and delicious. food is always fresh, Chef Stelios is around keeping his eye on things. One of our party eats only raw food so we spoke with Stelios and he made sure a huge beautiful custom made salad was always ready for him. Will definitely consider returning and we recommend this resort for families. Evening entertainment for both the little ones and later for adults. Nice to have a choice of pool or beach. The only drawback is public transportation in Cyprus is not great and for Westerners not wanting to drive on the left (as in England) reduces options for touring.

Nice complex right beside the beach

(49/46) My wife and I went here on holiday as we were attending a friends wedding. We booked a suite with a sea view and were not to be disappointed. We were 5 metres away from the pool and the facilities it offered, which included the pool bar with food and easy access down to the beach. Staff were very helpful and friendly giving us a feeling of being welcomed. We were given advice a plenty in relation to our further travels including travelling across the norder to the Turkish side and the locations this could be done. The actual area where the hotel is situated has many villas either owned or rented out. Facilities of an evening were not the best(limited pubs/shops nearby etc) although this is in no part attributed to the hotel. There is a shop on site providing most of our requirements. When heading out for the evening we went to Protaras (5-10 mins taxi journey). Staff at the hotel happily contact a taxi for you, but there is a bus service too although we never used this. Evening at the hotel itself provided the usual childrens mini disco followed by hired entertainment. I can't really comment on the latter but what we saw we didn't really enjoy too much, hence venturing out. During the day there are watersports nearby and plenty of opportunities for snorkelling in the very clear waters. Diving is also available and the persons we saw at this all appeared happy with their experience. Overall a really relaxing 10 nights.

Great Break Away

Excellent facilities all around from the restaurant and pool, bars and diving centre, entertainment was varied but something for families and couples as well. Accommodation was as expected with basic furnishings and minimum self catering facilities but enough. shop on campus held all emergency stock. Walking distance to outside supermarket, bars and restaurants too and 15minutes to centre of Protaras. Would definitely recommend and return ourselves.

Fantastic holiday

Fantastic place to stay, the staff are all very friendly and helpful and the facilities are great. There is something for every age group here. We will definitely be coming back and would recommend to everyone as a great place to stay. It's also well place for visiting Famagusta and Salamis.

Wonderfull stay

Over all the hotel is fab and i would definitely recommend it as a place to stay in Protaras area. The shinning stars of the hotel are definitely the staff, everyone you meet from the receptionist, waiters and even the cleaners were so friendly and couldnt do more to help and provide an amazing service worthy of 5 stars. They truley make the hotel, as someone who has stayed in a variety of big named hotels the staff at malama where among and if not the best. Unfortunately one night our living room light went out upon letting reception know it was fixed within 2 hours.... just fab service! Our room was immaculately clean as was the whole hotel. The facilities where also great didnt have to fight for a sun lounger (as long as you got there before 10am ). We requested a garden room and were at the back of the village but no problem for us as we liked the walk down to the pool.( not to far once you learn the short cuts) The hotel tries to put families on lower levels and closer to facilities which is a thoughtful touch. Only downside the pools can become busy with children and inflatables. An adult only pool I operation would be nice.

Great holiday village

Had a lovely time there with my husband and 18 month old daughter, nice pool and beach attached to the hotel. Apartments were spacious and nice and clean. The resort is well kept. Beds were comfortable, only little complaint, would have preferred a double bed and not 2 singles pushed together. Vidas, the breakfast guy is lovely and works tirelessly. Malmas should look after a great member of staff. Great price and would definitely recommend to friends and family.

Amazing hotel

Took our two children,ages 2 and 4. We all absolutely loved it,hotel is amazing! We were bed and breakfast which suites us,as we hired a car and liked to visit the other areas surrounding us. Staff we're great,the kids loved the mini disco every night. Would love to go back again!

Lovely surprise

I expected this to be a good holiday but staff and facilities at Malama exceeded my expectations. We went at a quite time of the year at the beginning of the season but it was truly great. My three year old and her granny loved it too. They seem to cater to all ages and tastes. You won't be disappointed.

Clean, comfortable and convenient

We stayed five nights at the hotel and found it very relaxing and fun. We went diving with Mario at the dive center and walked every night to nice restaurants along the street. The room was super clean and the maid very friendly. Everyone spoke English to us. Just a very nice, well maintained resort.

Great family location

Having been to Cyprus many times, i find this hotel great for a relaxing place for families. Very friendly atmosphere, can't comment on the food at this hotel as the main purpose for chosing the malama is for self catering (as we like to eat-out but have the option to make a snack) Malama is located in a fairly quiet area, however there is a simple bus service to Protaras or Ayia Napa for lots of resturants, pubs, clubs, entertainment etc ... Hotel staff have been working at the Malama for years, the service is friendly and good (consistently) i've been to the malama several times. Great pool area especially for young kids and lots of space. Rooms are fairly basic, but clean and comfortable. Well air conditioned too :)

Will go back just for the sea-views alone.

Enjoyed our stay at the Malama and would recommend this to future travellers.Thought some prices on various things ie: restaurant prices and some drinks were slightly expensive but you get can reasonable priced drinks out and about in various bars.Location of Holiday Village was slightly out of the way with Protaras centre being roughly a 7 mile bus journey away but easy accessible and cheap at a price of just 1 euro,but there are a few bars and restaurants pretty close by to enjoy a good meal and a drink. As we were on a Half-Board basis the food was very good but unfortunately the choices of food could of been a little bit better as options were pretty limited. Down at the pool, the views over the ocean from the sea-view bar and restaurant are to die for but the quantity of beds that are seemingly crammed in together can sometimes give you a claustrophobic feeling,but once you get yourself sorted it,s not too much of a big issue. Overall a very enjoyable holiday and we would definitely go back.
