This property was not my favorite by any means.
We only stayed overnight and I was traveling with my young children. We booked this hotel because the others in the Amarillo area were significantly more expensive. The property is kind of in the middle of nowhere, but there were quite a few dining options around. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful, and the property was very quiet.
Half of our room keys didn’t work and one of the doors to get into the room was a little janky. It didn’t close all the way and had difficulty opening. One of the rooms had a distinct musty cigarette smell. There was water damage to the ceiling in our room, and as we overlooked the other roofs to the property we could clearly tell why - many of the shingles were damaged or missing. Our room was clean with clean sheets and towels, but the carpets were stained. Not a single ice machine in the entire hotel was functioning. And a lot of the other amenities were broken down as well, like the pool and the washers/ dryers.
Would I stay again? Yeah, maybe. The negative points were intolerable - which is why we stayed. But the property is being seriously neglected overall.
