Bloomfield es una casa muy tradicional de Cornualles, con características originales, que recientemente ha pasado por una renovación muy comprensiva. Un jardín privado, completamente cerrado en la parte trasera es una trampa de sol y el escenario perfecto para una noche de verano relajante. Trevone Bay no sólo es famosa por su playa, amada por los surfistas y familias, sino también por su proximidad a grandes paseos por los acantilados. Trevone Bay acaba de ser galardonado con la Bandera Azul por su limpieza !!!! El chalet está situado en el corazón de la pequeña aldea de Trevone, a pocas millas de Padstow, y muy cerca de todas las otras excelentes playas de la costa norte de Cornualles. Nice quiet property. Awkward parking. Nowhere near the property to eat out until after 4:30. Property was clean, showering was very awkward. Tiny electric one in the bath was dangerous. One in the leantoo (not a conservatory) was was almost an outside shower. We were lucky the weather was warm or the shower would have been in a very cold place. We still enjoyed the stay as the bed was good.

Everything as listed. The shower in the conservatory was handy for washing the sand off, rather than getting it in the house. All kitchen equipment you could ever need for a self-catering stay. Only comment to others is no "essentials" that are often in self-catering accommodation (salt/pepper, oil, sugar etc), but not a problem if you know in advance.Property is a good location, and we walked to/from Padstow, to Padstow via the coast and back across the fields.

Comfortable base in a lovely location.

The house had everything we needed and it’s in a great situation for coastal walks or exploring locally especially Trevose head. There are quite a few steep steps up to the property.

We loved it... partner on edge of tears leaving the cottage behind...kids loved the beach, surf and rock pools...well equipped kitchen.... fridge was slightly frustrating in lack of size... maybe we were trying to fit in to much beer...

Gemütliches cottage

Das Cottage liegt wunderbar in Strandnähe. Vom badfenster konnten wir sogar den Sonnenuntergang im Meer sehen. Das Haus ist zwar alt und die Zimmer entsprechend klein. Die Küche und das Bad bieten aber alles was man benötigt.

Cosy and clean Cottage

A filthy accommodation

On arrival we noticed some blinds and the bathroom area were not as clean as should be. Messaged the owner who apologised. Next morning had a good look at the property. Cooker and kitchen utensils were filthy, there was no way we would cook our Christmas meal in that kitchen. Fire extinguisher was rusty and no indication of annual checks. Other areas dirty, rusty radiator, no hot water for bath or washing up. No information pack. Messaged owner again that morning, Christmas eve, she could do nothing as lives out of the UK, no one local to address the issues, told her we were leaving that day and expected a full refund of our fees. Also emailed Vrbo, some exchange of emails but they've now closed the exchange. To date, two weeks later, still only part refund and no offer of compensation for our experience in such poor accommodation. We will not be using this site again, and if anyone was asking for my advice re which site to use it wouldn't be this one.

Cottage ok but not for mobility challenged. Access to the front door and upstairs to the bedrooms and bathroom very difficult for my wife who uses a walking stick. If we had known this we would have booked elsewhere

Bloomfield

Bloomfield was cute but a little bit tired decoration wise. Could have done with a little more comfort in sitting room, maybe a rug and better lighting. Front door was not very secure and internal doors a bit rattely. Kitchen was well equipped. Bedroom linen was good. Lovely views from upstairs. Lady who looked after it was very helpful and very easy to contact.

BLOOMFIELD COTTAGE TREVONE

Unfortunately apart from the fact that it was very tired and in need of updating and some TLC. We smelt gas when entering property but put it down to the fact it had been shut up,so we obviously opened all the doors and windows, and it seemed ok, until monday morning i walked down stairs and the smell of gas was incredibly strong, we contacted the by email owner who sent a plumber, who confirmed a gas leek.This could have been incredably serious, just thankful none of were seriously effected. We then didnt have any hot water for 3 days apart from the electrric showers again contacted owner and he sent umber out again. I really feel that we should be partly refunded for our disappointing stay . Also no infomation pack with any emergancy contacts, or local information. The cottage is a prime location thats the only positve thing i can say. We ended up not taking our dog because we were told by the owner he didnt want the dog doing poos in the garden, so not dog friendly. Very very disapointed Jackie Backlog

Great 5 days

Good location near padstow Newquay truro Comfortable cottage not too posh that you feel worried especially with children or dogs Very well kitted out with lots of extras. Only problem would be the stairs to the front door for the elderly.

Perfect base for us but house does now need quite a bit of work. Ideal location, weather was glorious, Trevone is lovely but house does need updating and items replacing.
