An Excellent 1 Night Stay in Superior Double Room

We have just spent one night at this wonderful B&B which is located on the outskirts of Oxford city, with excellent transport links into Oxford city centre with a bus stop situated right outside. We stayed in a superior double room located upstairs at the rear of the premises overlooking the car park. The room was immaculate, spacious, comfortable and very quiet. The room was en-suite, comfortable bed, furnished with a desk, armchair, fridge, tv, hairdryer, tea/coffee making facilities. The B&B offers cooked and continental breakfast (at a charge), which we didn't take advantage of as we had other plans. The two ladies we met were very friendly and helpful. We could not fault our brief stay and would certainly stay again.

Ideal location.

Easy to find and ideal for the hospital. Lots of cafes and eating places not too far away. Friendly people. Need a reception sign outside especially if entering from the car park. Parking was easy too. Room was ample, bathroom too. Wi-Fi reception was good. Didn’t realise that breakfast Wasn’t included in the price but easy to order there. Bit disappointed with the cooked breakfast, despite me forewarning them that I was gluten intolerant and being assured that they could cater, as I could only have crispy bacon &beans..can’t eat eggs. Made up with cereal, yoghurt and toast. Plenty of choices for normal eaters. Easy to check out too.

We stayed overnight whilst visiting family in Oxford, and found it found it easy to check in, with friendly staff. We took breakfast and although it was an additional £10 per person we were happy with the variety and quality of the food. Overall we enjoyed our time there.

Overpriced for what you get

Overpriced for what you get. Rooms are very small and pokey, although clean, with no elevator if you have heavy luggage. Staff were not very friendly if you decided not to purchase the 10 pound per head breakfast. Hotel is next to a busy and noisy main road.

Pleasant stay.

Arrived mid afternoon and was welcomed by a couple of friendly staff. The Dining area was nicely set up and the place was nice and pleasant and clean. I then enquired about evening meal only to be told they did not do food except breakfast and there was no bar. This is not what is advertised on hotels.com so please be aware of this when booking. The bedroom was small but clean and pleasant with an average shower. There was plenty of tea/coffee facilities and water plus a fridge & microwave in the room. All the staff are very friendly. Private off street parking is also a good point and there are shops and restaurant's within a 5 min walk.
