Very lovely hotel! Friendly staff. Room not huge but very clean and neat. Located in the heart of it all - easy walking to everything - but right behind the main drag as to be very quiet - great bakery & coffee shops (and restaurants) just steps away!

Fun watching an occasional deer come through, and a bear that found some peaches in an open bed truck nearby. Quiet patio to share a drink on at evening time.

They gave us a voucher for breakfast at a great Mexican food restaurant. The food and service were great and we could choose from 5 different options on the menu. Shopping and other restaurants were walkable. Great place to stay.

The breakfast option is TERRIBLE and the Matterhorn should no longer use Mi Mexico to provide breakfast. Both times we ate there, the staff were rude as hell and service sucked. For breakfast, my son was served uncooked eggs when he ordered over easy and my chorizo con huevos was only chorizo, not a damn egg on the plate. If not for this food experience, review for Matterhorn would likely be higher.

The people at the front desk were a little shady. Guests receive breakfast coupons the day before that can be used at a local restaurant. The first day we did not use ours. I went in later that day and asked if we could receive four instead for the following day. We were told no and they were adamant that we return the prior day coupons.
