Best Hotel in Ottawa!

Went to celebrate my daughter’s birthday and from check in until check out, the staff went above and beyond to ensure we not only had everything we needed, but enjoyed our stay! The valet staff were lovely and efficient, the restaurant, 41, staff were great and our room was absolutely beautiful with amazing views out all the windows! The front desk staff also celebrated my daughter’s birthday and made sure it was her best one yet!!! This was one of three best hotel stays we’ve had anywhere in a very long time!

Grand old hotel right in the heart of Ottawa. Feels a little tired though and could use an update to some of the finishes. Towels could also be more luxurious or just plain bigger. Bar forty one could use more staff as we waited an overly long time for food service. Overall a comfortable stay but the grand old hotel is looking its age.

There are a lot of great things about this property. The location can't be beat for proximity to downtown sites. The building itself is beautiful and our double queen/park view room was a great size. The staff were very attentive and the service was efficient. There are nearby parking options if you prefer to self park. The room itself was nice, but nothing special. Great value for money in my opinion!

This was our second time here and we will come back to stay again. Great location for a great price. Pretty much anywhere you’d like to go is either walkable or a very short uber ride away.

Valet & service was amazing. Polite, professional and accommodate to our needs. Very vintage hotel that i loved, although a few things i didnt like considering my expectations. Rooms were clean but found dust in certain areas. Elevators are fast moving, made me feel a little motion sick. I like a cold room when sleeping which they didnt have the a/c on but accommodated me with a fan. For the price i paid for 2 nights, the room was very small. Lastly, i expected at least for the bed to have a fitted sheet but was only a base sheet which came undone during the night.

Reception does not have a machine to read credit card I carry in my cell phone. I do not carry plastic cr card. Never had the experience of not being able to pay deposit for incidentals . They only gave me the option of paying $200.00 cash! I had to go to the bank and get the cash! Another option was to find someone to pay with their credit card so tha I could complete my registration and get to my room!
