The staff in the restaurant were a bit slow. The food was lovely. The room was very small but it was only for one night so not too bad but wouldn’t want to stay in that room longer.

breakfast was the only issue at £19 each i expected the food to be hot not just the plate, but the actual location and lodges were excellent.

We loved the executive lodge,nice and warm and clean,we had food in the restaurant which was lovely,it was quite lively as the was a wedding but the setting of the property is stunning,breakfast was just ok the food was warm and the plate was extremely hot bit wierd.

The hotel and surroundings were fab! Wooden cabins scattered around a lake and spa. The inside jacuzzi very old and discoloured but the outside jacuzzis made up for that! The price of the drinks were extortionate! £15.50 for 2 pints of Mahou. That put us off spending any more money at the bar. The breakfast was poor £12.50 paid in advance or £15 in the morning. The fiood choices were sparse and most plates had 1 item left on there. It didnt seem to be topped up regularly enough. There is a choice of traditional, vegetarian breakfast 1 sausage, 1 egg etc. Not a large serving if you enjoy a large hot breakfast. And inly 1 toaster. They didnt serve hash browns as listed on the menu. I asked if they had forgotten them and they said they hadnt had the delivery. If thats the case, at least offer an extra item on the menu. The only other negative is the use of the spa facilities. Be aware, unless you want to pay extra .... you can use the facilities 8pm to 9pm or 7am to 10am which is a big shame.

The room was clean, it was a really nice stay the breakfast was okay me and my partner preferred the continental rather than the hot food as eggs were quite rubbery. Had a lovely sleep the beds were really comfortable and there was lots of places to sit inside the hotel. The spa was okay the staff were lovely but the facilities weren’t the best it was quite a small spa and on an evening you could only go at 8-9pm and then 7-10am in the morning and if you wanted to go in all day or another time you would have to pay an added fee. But overall we really enjoyed our experience all of the staff were amazing!

Uneven ground outside, warped front door wouldn’t close, damp smelly bathroom, no hot water for shower (at 06.00am), thin walls, noisy neighbours awful.

The grounds were beautiful, our room was a family room and could have been beautiful however, it wasn’t very clean, very dusty, scratched up stained furniture, stains on the carpet and the bathroom was helped together with mastic. The bath panel was rotten. The beds were comfortable if small, there was lots of room and it was lovely to have our own patio. The facilities such as the pool etc were only available at inaccessible hours for children or we had to pay extra which was a huge disappointment. The staff were lovely and polite however the place was understaffed which was blamed on a wedding at the hotel. Long waits for food in the restaurant however we were given our evening meal for free which was very nice as our autistic child waiting for a long time for food drinks etc was a little distressing. The breakfast staff were lovely and friendly but the cooked breakfast was overcooked and definitely not worth what we paid. Overall it was a little disappointing for the money we paid I would have expected more. It wouldn’t take much to make this place shine. If you’re looking for beautiful surroundings, wildlife, nature and lovely staff (though not enough) you won’t be disappointed if you can get passed the badly repaired DIY jobs, scratched up furniture in the rooms, dust and cobwebs and dirty windows and lack of access to facilities for children.

Staff were friendly and the food was lovely. We didn’t try any of the spa or gym. My daughter got married here and it was absolutely amazing!❤️ Beautiful surrounding area too!

Stayed as part of a wedding party, loved everything about the Chevin, beautiful location, friendly reception and bar staff, very cosy and warm, loved being there, and certainly worth the journey from Northern Ireland.

Spa area was very dated,not kept clear by staff..paid 330 pounds for 2 nights but limited to 7-10am 8-9pm. Happy to charge paying guests excessive amount to access pool outside these times 15 pounds per person. Overhead beams in pool absolutely filthy, covered in dust. Leaves all around pool area. Robes discoloured, slippers not safe as slip all over due to wet area. Changing rooms size very small, to point had to wait until male changing area cleared before could use. Excessive greed re drinks, 2 glasses HOUSE wine £20, absolute greed. Cabin tiny, in need of refurb. TV doesnt even have additional channels. Mattress protector stained. Overall stay very disappointing to point chose to leave after first night. Wont be returning and will pass this experience on. As far as staff go, the first evening there was a very nice and helpful young girl on reception desk and girl at pool was very helpful when asking questions. A very disappointing stay and two very disappointed visitors who have no intention of returning. Cabin 67 Billy and Gina

Lovely service but hotel is rough around the edges

The room was fine, quite large but relatively empty of furniture so it felt a bit odd inside. The hotel itself is quite dated, quite desperately in need of a refurbish. The staff however were very kind, helpful, and friendly so can't fault that. I think if they spent some time refreshing this place and modernising it, it could be quite wonderful given the gorgeous location.

Could do so much better. Lovely location, very small rooms. Staff were all delightful but there aren’t enough of them. They have a bar with a sign that instructs you to go and find someone in the restaurant if you want a drink. Go to the restaurant and the staff have too much on their plates to worry about you. Food was patchy, breakfast is good value however if you get the right chef on the right day.
