We had a wonderful time in the Dolomites, and a big part of that experience was our stay at Apartment Prapoz. Before I begin, one quick tip: if you plan on driving in the Italian hills, do yourself a favor and rent an automatic car. We had a manual, and navigating the rolling hills and narrow streets of the Dolomites was… character-building lol. Now, onto Prapoz. We walked to the Seceda lift every day—it’s an easy and pleasant 10-minute stroll (down the park path, turn right, then walk to the tunnel leading to the ski resort). Getting into town is just as easy via the escalator by the tunnel. On our first day, we didn't know and walked uphill instead… let’s just say it was great exercise, ha!Our two-bedroom, two-bath apartment was comfortable, well-appointed, and had everything we needed. We cooked several nights because the local grocery stores food was fantastic, and the kitchen had pots, pans, and even some spices—such a nice touch.Claudia is an incredibly kind and helpful host. We needed to do laundry during our six-night stay, and she went above and beyond—even delivering our clean laundry at one point. She was warm, welcoming, and a joy to talk with. She speaks German, Italian, and Ladin, and while she said her English wasn’t fluent, we had lovely conversations. Our 8-year-old especially loved visiting the sheep and chickens every day—it was a highlight for her.We had a truly lovely stay. We would absolutely return.
