Lovely Home & Great Location

The house was exactly as advertised - lovely decor, comfy mattresses, very clean, great fenced in backyard, very nice fire pit with chairs in the backyard. The location was great - right at the bridge going to Oriental and quick drive to New Bern. We enjoyed our stay and our dogs loved the fenced in yard.

Stay was great. We came to North Carolina for a family wedding in New Bern. Location was close enough for us to drive to and home was exactly as was presented online.

Great location!

Our family had a nice time. The weather wasn’t the greatest but the home was well appointed and convenient for boating or visiting Oriental. The fence worked out great for our small pups and we loved being able to just jump in the boat and go for a ride or fish for a few hours.

Great Views on the Marina!

Loved the quaint town of Oriental and this was a great spot to experience it all. We enjoyed watching sail boats come in and out of the marina along with beautiful sunrises on the porch in the morning. The space was nice and large for our party of 5 with 2 dogs and the fenced in yard was a huge plus for the pups. We would definitely book this spot again!

Great place for a fishing vacation

Whether you bring your own boat or you're going with a charter captain this is a great place to stay. Protected marina slip with power and across the bridge from the boat ramp. The house is great. Big, clean, comfortable and located just inside the river and walking distance to Oriental. Plenty of parking and a big front yard.

Oriental Visit

Home was as advertised, plus had everything we needed. The fence needs attention. A small dog could possibly get through in a couple locations. The addition of a gate to prevent a dog from going down the 2nd story steps by the entrance door would make the yard truly secure. It was nice to see plenty of cleaning products and equipment. I've never understood why a property owner would not want to help a guest take care of their property. Sometimes the little things make your home stand out. Coffee filters, salt & pepper plus some spices were all found in a cabinet. Pleasant surprise and no need to run out to the store for something we all are so used to having at our own home. Thank you for a comfortable stay.

Quick get away

Great place! We wanted a place to bring the boat and enjoy some Fishing. Having the boat slip directly in front of the house was just perfect. The home exceeded our expectations!

Lovely River Property

Beautiful home with amazing views. Updated bathrooms, open concept and beautiful decor. Plenty of games to play. Large master with 2 small bedrooms. The town of Oriental is quaint , lovely to walk along and great for running and biking. The only downside to the home is that you have to drive to Oriental (3 minute drive though) and the pet policy is fairly strict. Vacuum carpets and furniture prior to leaving and the dog must be crated if you are not in the home. We didn’t know about these rules until we saw the guest instructions in a book in the home. We fully understand why and had no problem but it did take extra time and changed some of our plans. Overall it’s a lovely home :)
