What a great motel and right across from Lake Superior. They have a private beach entrance that is easy to get to. Great owners make you feel welcome and you can tell they are proud of their establishment. Hope to come back next year.

Hotel owners are the best and so friendly. Would definitely stay here again. Nice cozy clean room. Parking right infront of room and across the street access to the beach where we watched an amazing sunset. Owners invited us to enjoy a campfire with them at dusk. So awesome.

We enjoyed our stay. It's older but maintained and clean. Nice furniture and themed rooms. The owners are very nice and it felt safe. I saw them lower the flag and fold it accordingly for the night which left a lasting opinion. It's across the road from Superior so there's not a view and you walk a path to see the private beach. (No furniture or anything) the owner had a bon fire started for guests to join which was cool. Pet friendly. Cheerful, good vibes. Easy parking too.

The rooms are perfect for the area's experience. The owner/ managers are very wonderful folks that go out of their way to make sure you have a good stay. The beach access to Lake Superior is a great place to hang out after a day of hiking and site seeing in the Porkies (Porcupine Mountains Wilderness). I look forward to my next stay at the Sunshine Motel and Cabins.
