For a Superior room booking it wasn't worth the room rate. Only two towels for three persons. Likewise, only two chairs despite the booking made for three. No cutlery. Carpet was dirty.

Stuck in the 70’s

The name sounds nice, and it is the only Hotel around of this size in that area, but man is it stuck in the 1970’s! You think they would’ve refurbished it by now and got in to the 2000’s lol. Reception was closed when we got there and had to go to bar to check-in, but had to wait for 3 people to be served drinks 1st.

Poor facilities compared to other motels. Reception staff very abrupt. Room under stairway was noisey with early morning guests waking us before 6am. No parking outside due to stairway so had to park outside someone’s else’s unit. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom door didn’t close without force and shower door was obstructed by doorway. No bathroom extraction for steam.

A very expensive and outdated property. We wouldn't stay again. Rooms, although spacious, are from another era and need a complete overhaul. Very uncomfortable beds with saggy mattresses and when my child was playing they pushed one aside and it was apparent the carpet hadn't been vacuumed under there for an age. No shower curtains in bathroom so water just spills all over the floor making it very slippery. Staff were friendly and check in was easy. It's just a shame that the hotel isn't up to scratch.

A comfortable room for the night though it was in a dark corner with a direct outlook onto a set of stairs going up to the second floor so not pretty and a bit gloomy. Also right next to reception so very noisy. And oh my goodness, the noise this morning was unbelievable; parties of touring guests were up at 6am and paid no heed to sleeping guests. This continued through to 8am with waves of guests chattering, dragging their luggage, people going up and down the stairs and talking/laughing/shouting loudly. We are generally early risers but to be woken at 6am after a long day the day before with no attempt by guests or their guides to quieten them was pretty intense. The tour bus parked right outside our room too. So, although other rooms may have been light and comfortable, away from this 'grand central' area, our stay was unfortunately greatly compromised by being in this particular location.
