Upon arrival, garbage overflowing with food under sink. Flooring and stair treads fell off. Backyard was a disaster. No one inspected the house before we checked in except the cleaning crew, according to owner, who lives out of state. The dishwasher was not attached & useless for 3 days. Dirt, holes, exposed PVC pipe, and bird & rabbit carcasses in back. We had to remove to make safe for our dog. We paid for, confirmed, & expected outdoor space. The fence is broken in several places. Weeds were overgrown in back. ALL outdoor furniture was filthy. We had to clean it ourselves to enjoy outside. Requested and received bug spray to tackle inside bugs. We sprayed it ourselves. No one is managing the property locally. Host was responsive by text or phone (except once). Sectional in TV room is in terrible shape but only place to sit & watch TV when working. Wi-Fi was out for 28.7% of our awake time, but we lost several hours over 3 days (3 upon checkin alone), communicating with host. This resulted in zero entertainment/internet 2 evenings & 1 full day. The host should understand that there is a cost to doing business and have offered compensation for lost time and value. They offered pennies from prorated cable & $100 gift card. We have been VRBO users since 2002 exclusively. Premiere hosts understand their business costs. Very disappointing. Location worked ok. Beds were new. Master bath very small. Our "vacation" required too much time over 3 days working out issues with owner.
