We had a lovely night at the Inn, perfect for what we needed after 3 days at a music festival! Quiet, beautiful, walking from outside straight into the countryside, a lovely big room and the breakfast hamper was really fab, it all felt very luxurious.

Perfect rest on cycling holiday

Bed was very comfortable and room was lovely. Gorgeous view. Food was good too and I appreciated the breakfast hamper although some might prefer a hot breakfast. Only minor annoyance was hearing lots of kitchen noise when I was trying to get an early night. But I was so tired I couldn’t be bothered to get up to ask anyone to be quiet! Overall I would go back. The staff were all lovely and helpful and found me safe overnight storage for my bike.

Room was clean. Mattress wasnt all that comfortable. Since this is an old old bldg, you have to watch your head, especially if your over 5'5. Food was good. Toffee pudding was only average unfortunately. Otherwise was really good food. First night there was music playing that we could hear in our room. It finally stopped about 9:30-10. There was a security light that went off outside about 1 that shone right into our window and lit it up like Christmas. Thankfully it went off after a few minutes, but it woke us up!

Overpriced and unfriendly

Lovely views but that's all that was good. The service was dreadful, from chasing phone calls on arrival time (not allowed any later than 8pm no exceptions). Breakfast is non existent and won't arrive until 8:15-8:30 which doesn't help for either business trips or those who want to make the most of the area. Overpriced food and hidden service charges and the food was mediocre. Drinks stop being served as soon as you finish eating (21:45) even though there were two tables and at least 9 people in the bar. No staff on site at night. Mould in the bathroom.

We had a fabulous time at Bearslake, the building is from the 13th century and has that cosy feeling, the food is amazing also , definitely 10 out of 10

Disappointing

A not so warm welcome to a not so warm establishment. it states check in is from 2pm, but when i arrived at 4.30pm I was told I would have to wait in the car as they don't open until 5. The whole point of booking here was so that I could attend a Teams call at 4.45 which I then couldn't do. The whole place looks tired and needs a re-vamp. On the plus side the bed was comfy, and the food was excellent as were the waiting staff

Pleasant surprise

Hayloft room has a very steep and narrow staircase access not suitable for elderly guests. Restaurant very good for choice and quality much better than standard pub food.

It was amazing,staff very happy and friendly, they all seem to enjoy there jobs, Lisa the manager was really friendly and helpful. Food and service outstanding and room was lovely. Definitely will go here again, only one fault would of been nice if the bar stayed open to at least 11.00pm

A gem!

This is a really lovey old building with bags of charm. The staff have been fantastic and the food great. The breakfast hamper delivered to our room was excellent.
