This is an award winning three bedroom home in idyllic Okains Bay on Banks Peninsula. Allow yourself to escape and enjoy beautiful scenery and surroundings in a luxury home. This spacious new build has been designed to offer the best in modern conveniences and comfort.

The interior has been thoughtfully curated with a mixture of industrial antiques and modern pieces that engage and inspire. Every room has superior beds and linen and blackout curtains complemented with stunning artwork and fixtures.

Two expansive decks - one each side of the house, allow guests to enjoy outdoor living all day long. The evening meals can be cooked either outside on the BBQ or in the fully equipped kitchen and you can dine al fresco on the 10 seater outdoor table and chairs. This area also boasts a hot tub with bluetooth speakers so you can while away the evening.

Inside there are two superb spaces for you to relax; the main lounge that showcases stunning bespoke stained glass panels that are back-lit to create a beautiful, illuminated ambience. In this space is a huge comfortable couch to sit and chat or relax with a book. In winter, the wood-burning fireplace creates a warm, inviting space. The second space is a media room furnished with a large smart TV with a U shaped couch that can accommodate everyone for a movie night and also doubles as a optional pull out double bed. The stylish media cabinet also holds traditional family games for you to use.

Okains Bay Beach is a unspoilt pristine stretch of beach that offers safe swimming without the crowds. Located a short, three minute drive from the house, you can enjoy a day at the beach without worrying about forgetting something as it is a quick drive back.
For most of the year, the Okains bay dairy is open and just a stroll down the road to get that well deserved treat! For an immersive cultural experience, the Okains Bay Museum is fascinating and only 5 minutes walk away.
If you yearn for an urban experience and well stocked supermarket, Akaroa is a relaxed 20 minute drive away. Here you will find excellent restaurants, an award winning gin distillery and attractions such as the Black Cat Dolphin Experience, mini golf, weekend market and Giant's Garden - a world renowned destination.

This place is fabulous and we would stay here again.Sammy always responded to me very quickly.I felt like we were in a luxury property all of the time. Things were so comfortable and clean. I felt pampered my husband and I stayed here alone so we could attend a wedding on the island. I loved the peaceful sounds of cows and sheep, while sitting in the hot tub.

Beautiful house with everything you need. Very modern, clean and tidy with great communication. Although it is very close to the beach, we loved relaxing in the Spa pool and having a BBQ on the deck as the house has beautiful views.

A beautiful stay

This home is significantly more beautiful than the pictures can show. It was warm, modern and has incredible art work on every single wall, even the laundry. We didn’t have good weather but sitting and reading in front of the big window with the rural outlook was bliss. The beach is incredible, totally underrated.

Amazing Luxury Relaxing Stay!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Bach and would have loved to stay longer. The interior design of the house is beautiful and we made full use of the large patios surrounding the property. The beds were comfortable and found everything we needed in the kitchen & bathrooms. The hosts are very responsive and helpful in providing suggestions of local spots to try & to buy from. Amazing place to stay. The house is beautiful and the interior design & features exquisitely presented. If you like the taste of 'French Rustic' then you will LOVE this place. Decking on both sides enabling you to catch all day sun. The historic Okains Bay store just walking distance down the road. There were 6 of us staying (plenty of room and space) and each and everyone raved about this holiday home. One of best places you’ll find

We enjoyed four days at this beautiful bach. In wonderful Okains Bay, the bach has absolutely everything you need. A well equipped kitchen, user friendly laundry and some of the most comfortable beds (and bedding) we’ve ever used. The home is thoughtfully furnished and worked well for my husband and myself, my mother and our child. There was plenty of space. Warm and welcoming the house would be great for a long or short stay. And the spa and outside areas where an absolute bonus. Thank you for a marvellous stay!
