Fabulous! Chef's Kiss! My husband and I have stayed at vacation rentals around the world and Casa de Kona is our favorite... and our standards are high! From the moment we entered the front door, we were smiling. it feels like a friend's beautiful, sparkling clean home - a friend who stocked the entire home with everything we could possibly want and more. First of all, Debby and Mike are great communicators... before, during and after our stay - their goal was to make us happy and they definitely succeeded. And their attention to detail - amenities, supplies, furnishings - all top notch. The kitchen is fully outfitted with chef quality appliances and cooking tools. The bed, linens, carpets - everything is cozy and spotless. The outdoor space is delightful - from morning coffee to evenings relaxing under the lights. The neighborhood is quiet and parking is a breeze. Everything in the listing is true - in fact, everything is even better than the photos! Friends came to visit and said "we want to rent this house!"... we said, "Us too and we're booking right now for our next Oceanside trip."

This was an amazing place to stay. The interior was beautiful and comfortable. The kitchen had everything that you could think about needing plus more. The back deck and yard area was a perfect and relaxing place to hangout and talk.We loved the upstairs master bedroom and bathroom. Very spacious. There is a balcony off the master bedroom where you can sit to watch the sunset. We did just that. The hosts are amazing and the location is very walkable to restaurants and coffee shops. Love this place!!

Couldn't have been better

My whole experience with the home and the owners, Mike and Debby, was nothing short of spectacular. To begin with, Mike and Debby exchanged texts with me prior to my arrival. They were very friendly and accommodating. We had no issues finding the home and were blown away when we entered. Everything was as pictured and then some. The layout was absolutely perfect for our family with plenty of room, great appliances and a wonderful outdoor area. The cabinets were well stocked with dishes and cookware. Usually when I stay somewhere I expect to buy the little things - dish soap, some spices, plastic bags, aluminum foil, etc but here they thought of everything. It's truly like a second home. I also very much appreciated an AC unit in each area of the home. This allowed us to keep the master bedroom cool at night but the rest of the home at a warmer temperature. During our stay, our son leaned on one of the wires that forms a sort-of fence surrounding the front door and the cable pulled free from the post. I reported this to Mike and Debby immediately and expected to pay for the damages but they graciously fixed it the next day at no charge. They were very understanding and friendly about the whole matter and were all around pleasant to communicate with the entire stay. I cannot stress enough how thankful I am to have chosen this home for our vacation and highly, highly recommend it to anyone else. I would love to stay here again. Thank you Mike and Debby!

100% Pick this one!!

Could not have been more comfortable! Beautifully appointed with every amenity. Skip the pricey hotel that doesn’t offer half as much as this beautiful home! It is the property off the main house but you could tell so much thought and care went into every single detail of this home. Luxurious accommodations, hosts Mike and Debby were super helpful and communicative You will not be disappointed by their hospitality! Easy check in process and the kitchen was divine. There are not enough stars or sentiment to express how wonderful our stay was here! The literally thought of everything! Close to Carlsbad, Camp Pendleton, the beach, and anywhere you could think to dine is just a quick jaunt away and the neighborhood made us feel safe and had plenty of space to park! So grateful to have found this space and it’s hosts 🫶🏼

Great place to stay!!

This was an amazing experience. The hosts were excellent and good wirh communication. They were very helpful with any inquiry we had and provided good suggestions for things to do.The place itself was fantastic. We were a group of 4(2 couples) and the place was spacious. The amenities were numerious including a fully stocked kitchen and excellent coffeebar. It made us feel like w were right at home. The location was very central to a lot of places... We would absolutley stay here again

Beautiful house & owners make you feel right at home!

We have stayed at many vacation rentals & this one ranks high. We felt welcomed from the moment we walked in. So many sweet personal touches. The house is well stocked, meticulous & beautiful. If we go back to San Diego, we wouldn’t stay anywhere else. Five stars well deserved!

Beautiful Home!

We had an amazing stay in this well appointed Casita, perhaps one of the nicest vacation rentals we've ever been in. Beds were comfy, the AC worked very well with each room having the ability to set their own temperature, and the kitchen was a dream for an avid cook like myself. You can tell the owners take a lot of pride in making their guests very comfortable. Thank you Mike & Debby, can't wait to come back!

Family getaway

Mike and Debby’s home was perfect for our family. Their home was clean and exactly as described. Their home felt like a home with all the details. The amenities in their home were extensive. They provided many options for us to use in the kitchen to the bathrooms included everything you needed. Mike and Debby were also very responsive. We enjoyed spending time on the patio enjoying the weather and fresh air. It’s conveniently located to restaurants and less than 2 miles from the beach either driving or walking. We wil definitely stay here again.

Complete Perfection

We came here for a family reconnection with our two 85 year old mothers. They had been told that the local Best Western had the best accommodations. *Ahem*. My cousin and I found Debby and this gem for the exact same price. I have stayed in countless rentals and this was by far the best. Every single detail was thought through. It was spotless, the beds were amazing, the space was spectacular. The chocolate cake Debby left is became dessert for one of our family nights. Don’t miss out on this place. You will feel immediately at home.

We absolutely LOVED staying here. The owners (Mike and Debby) were the best hosts ever. Their communication, support, and flexibility was off the charts. They let us check in early and checkout late. When we arrived, they had a Bundt cake with a handwritten card welcoming us. They overstocked everything! They had things such as razors, toothbrushes, laundry soap, mouthwash, snacks, spices and much more. We will definitely be back. Thank you Mike and Debby for what an example of 5+ star service entails!

Beautiful home!!

The Hideaway was perfect for us and another couple. The home was fully equipped with everything you need and the addition bonus - small amenities like toothbrushes, makeup wipes, and even slippers in the master suite made it all the best for us. The owners truly care about their guests and thought of all possible need. Will definitely book again.
