My daughter and I arrived two hours prior to check-in and attempted to get parking pass and check-in info from lock box where we were instructed to go, which is blocks away from the condo. There is currently no in office personnel, but a man outside saw me open locker and told me I wasn’t able to take anything until 4pm. I asked if we could at least use our parking pass and a restroom at the condo and then either go to beach or use pool while waiting and he said no because the space may be needed for vendors and we can’t access building until then. He suggested a restaurant nearby for us to go while waiting.
After obtaining our check-in info at 430 and getting into our condo, our family was extremely disappointed in the state it was left in.
Underwear was left in the washer with dryer sheets and lint still on floor.
A large ball of hair was on the shower wall with sand all over the two tile shower floors still, no toilet paper stocked in two of the restrooms.
Dirty clothes under bed and in corner of bunk room with clothing tags and extra pillows on floor. No comforters or blankets in bunk room.
Stains all over furniture and some linens, handprints and sticky substances on fridge, switches, doors, furniture.
Patio furniture had food wrappers and empty juice pouch on it.
Floors had sand and stains from spills from previous guests.
It looked like someone dropped off towels and flipped the linens over on beds then walked out.
I immediately called the number provided and the woman was very kind and said management would be sending someone to clean, though she didn’t know when. One of our family members stayed behind and a cleaning person did arrive in a timely manner, but wasn’t there long and told our family member they sanitized the light switches…after looking over everything it didn’t look any different except for the dirty clothes getting removed.
I received a text the next morning asking about the cleanliness of condo to which I replied everything above along with the photos taken upon arrival. They responded they would let superiors know.
No response, call, email in return.
The condo was large, location is great, kids enjoyed the pool and proximity to beach, and had it been stocked and cleaned properly upon arrival I could have justified the $$$$ for the two & a half days we were there.
I understand staffing issues and rising costs, but lack of response & presentation of home were unacceptable for a company in hospitality.
