The property was amazing and our room was lovely. They thought of everything when the property was remodeled. The lighting was great and the layout was fantastic. I appreciated the placement of electrical outlets and mirrors to allow us “ladies” to get ready for the day. The staff were very friendly, kind and accommodating. We enjoyed dinner and drinks in the cozy bar and then off to bed to enjoy the best night of sleep I’ve had since we arrived in Scotland 12 days ago. Thank you!

This is a well-appointed comfortable hotel in a beautiful part of Scotland. The staff are exceptional and the food excellent. It is let down a bit by a congested and rather cramped dining area spread over three rooms. At breakfast, with part of one room taken up by the buffet, it becomes reminiscent of a budget hotel as guests jostle each other and the staff. The staff do their best to compensate but it really needs more than that - a complete redesign - to overcome this one negative aspect of a stay. Finally, in a hotel in this price range, I would expect a deluxe room to have a fridge and a safe. It had neither.

My travel partner got Norovirus so we decided to not show up on the premises to spare the staff and guests. I had booked a full price room and breakfast for two the next day. They were completely inflexible on their policies to change our booking or offer any kind of refund. They would not even refund the breakfast. They blamed Expedia but frankly I’m really tired of both airlines and hotels blaming the middle party and not being remotely decent or compassionate for a difficult situation. I lost hundreds.

The staff on arrival were amazing. There was no space in the car park and one of staff moved their vehicle so we had a place to park. The check in process was seamless and all staff were ready to help us if needed. The room was immaculate and had everything we needed. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and served by enthusiastic staff. Checking out, we were very disappointed that we did not have more nights here as we felt it was one of the highlights of the road trip around the Highlands. Definately one place to return to and recommend to friends.

This is a very nice property outside of Oban. Knipoch House Hotel is situated in a quiet location and offers very good food on-site. We were only there for a short time, on our way to Glasgow, but it was a very comfortable and enjoyable stay.

Lovely boutique hotel just out of the town with a nice view. A ideal place to be for quiet but within driving distance of Oban. Although our room was lovely and we had a good view of the loch, we could also see the bins right below our room, this could be avoided by just covering the bin area.

Our stay at this 15th-century country house was a truly memorable experience. Nestled just across the street from a stunning loch and only a short drive from Oban, the location perfectly blends history, tranquility, and convenience. Check-in was smooth and welcoming, setting the tone for the rest of our visit. Our room was beautiful and spacious, with windows overlooking the front garden and loch — a peaceful and picturesque view to wake up to. As you'd expect with a house of this age, the walls were quite thin. We could hear the guests next door and even some noise from the staff in the room above. It’s part of the charm of an older property, though worth noting if you're a light sleeper. The dining room was a lovely space — charming and character-filled, with paintings adorning the walls. There were also two cozy sitting areas, each with comfortable couches, armchairs, and inviting fireplaces. These were the perfect spots to unwind with a glass of scotch from the bar after a day of exploring. Overall, a unique and relaxing stay in a beautifully historic setting. Would highly recommend for those looking to experience a bit of Scottish charm and heritage. But still are enjoying the modern amenities of upgraded bathrooms☺️
