Pros- Central location, quiet neighborhood, cleaning supplies available, nice home decor, cosmetically updated
Cons- The home was not properly cleaned. There were used razors in the bathroom, bedsheets were dirty, mattress pad in one bedroom had stains and hair throughout the bed, kitchen scissors had BBQ sauce on them, the microwave and stove were dirty, the home had a bad smell, and there was no surface cleaning done. During these times with COVID, I take cleanliness seriously. I'm not thrilled with just home decor but more importantly the proper cleanliness of the home. When communicated to the Host he advised that he will make sure his housekeeping company is cleaning the home properly. Me and my guest went to Walmart for extra cleaning supplies and a candle and cleaned the home before unloading. That was very inconvenient.
There are no blinds in the living room so when the lights are on people on the outside can see right through the home. There are no blinds in the back with the washer and dryer area and neighbors can see right in the home. This was very uncomfortable especially with us all being women. I hope the owner updates the current blinds in the home and install blinds in the other areas.
Also, before our 11am checkout we received our final notification. It was communicated to us to load the dishwasher with any used dishes and to take the trash out to the curb before housekeeping comes at 11:15. Me and my guest felt that that was asinine. As adults, we are very good at cleaning up after ourselves. No, I cannot speak for everyone else. However, if housekeeping is coming 15 minutes after our checkout I don't feel it's right to ask your guest to pretty much clean your home before departing. If we decided to stay in a hotel room service is not going to send us a reminder to clean our room and take out the trash.
I hope this review is taken into consideration and necessary changes are made.
