Great Week

We had a great week! The house was as good as advertised. It was roomy and comfortable. The location near the Point was great. We would definitely stay there again.

Home Away From Home

We have been staying in this house for years now and LOVE it. It is not like your usual rental and feels like another home. We cannot wait to stay again next year.

Great week!

Really enjoyed our stay! The kitchen was stocked well for cooking and there were plenty of games, puzzles and beach toys for all. The front porch was our Al time favorite. Thank you for giving us the opportunity to stay in your cute beach house.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. The location is perfect. Management team was very helpful with the door code not working. The downstairs hallway toilet needs fixed as it runs constantly. Over all i would highly recommend this location.

Excellent family beach house!

We are so pleased with our time in Oak Island! Building Memories was the perfect name, as time inside and on the beach was even better than expected. The house worked perfect for two families, with two downstairs bedrooms w/bath. And, the upstairs configuration supported the merged flock of children. Beach access was a short walk away!

We loved the house. It was very clean. It was a few minute walk from the beach. The only thing that went wrong was the freezer handle was loose. We were very careful but it did fall off our last night there. We love Oak Island and it will be one of our regular vacation spots. We will definitely want to stay at Building Memories again.

Beach House Rental on Oak Island

We had a very enjoyable stay at this beach house. It was large enough to accommodate our family, which included 6 adults and 2 children. The house was a short 7 minute walk to the beach. We appreciated that the rental provided linens and the kitchen was fully equipped with dishware and appliances. The house also had an over-sized washer and dryer. Finally, the property management company texted us daily with information on activities that might be of interest, and they were very responsive to questions we had.

West beach is better

This is NOT a new/newly updated home. We didn't choose it based on new appliances, floors, paint, furniture, kitchen gear or beds. Location on the west side was key. Hosts were responsive. At some point the owners will drop $100K in updates on this one, but they weren't necessary for us to have a great time. For 6-10 guests, this house is good - no muss, no fuss.

Great value - we would stay again

This property is a great value at a great location. It has 4 bedrooms with comfortable beds and 4 nicely recently remodeled full bathrooms. And comparable to nearby alternatives an affordable price. You can see the beach from the recently remodeled deck that wraps most of the house. It is a short walk on the road to the beach; we found renting a golf cart provides convenience for transporting chairs and coolers. We were very pleased to have access to a second refrigerator/freezer in the basement where we kept extra ice and drinks. Linens were provided and nice. The kitchen could have been a little cleaner on arrival and we had to wash one of the comforters, but the washer and dryer were new and easily resolved the later issue. This property is dog friendly (although we ended up not bringing our dog) so I didn't expect the newest of furnishings, but would still give it high marks. We would stay there again.
