Disliked: Cleanliness, amenities, property conditions & facilities
1. No prearrival communication. I had to call the day before to find out what was going on "call me when you arrive" was the answer
2. Amenities not great: no waste bin in the kitchen, washed up crockery left out on the drainer, bathroom dirty, toilet seat not fitted to the toilet
3. The beds were nice and well made up
4. No wifi (tbf our host explained that wifi was down in the area)
5. Lots of the hosts things left in the house, to the point he came back the next morning asking for his shoes
6. Received 4 calls and 4 texts at midnight after departure; accused of stealing plates and glasses and that the police would be called (they were stacked in the dishwasher ready for a cycle, but there were no dishwaser tablets available to run the cycle). Texts later received to say the messages were for someone else and not meant for me - understand the apology but to accuse a customer of theft and threaten them with the police in the first instance is not on.
Overall feeling about the stay and experience (pre and post) was very bad
