The Meandering Moose - Frontier Village
Welcome to Frontier Village! Enjoy your stay in our beautiful modern guest cabin! Nestled in a mature birch forest between Fairbanks and North Pole, you are only minutes from everything. Outside the city lights enjoy fantastic views of the aurora, watch the local bush planes flying overhead from the nearby runway, or just relax on the porch and maybe spot a moose or fox. Each cabin sleeps up to two couples (4 guests). Whether you're here for work or play, you will enjoy your stay.
Outside you'll be able to enjoy a yard, and a porch with seating, and a bbq. Inside is a welcoming farmhouse style cabin with butcherblock counter tops, rustic beam, vinyl plank flooring, and carpet upstairs to the loft. The kitchen is stocked with the essential utensils and basic spices, condiments and cooking oil. With place settings for four, you can choose to stay in, or go out on the town. There's plenty of towels in the bathroom, shampoo and soap, as well as a hair-dryer if you don't want to pack your own.
Guests have access to most areas of the property, the only off limits area would be our residence and the immediate surrounding area. There is an adjacent lot to the cabin that is a wonderful green space with mature birch trees, choke cherry trees, and a variety of wild berry bushes.
My wife and I live on the property. We love to BBQ in the summer time and chase aurora in the winter. All our guests are welcome to share in our adventures, stop at the grill for a hotdog or fresh salmon, or stand out in the cold and share photography tips while capturing the lights. Keep in touch after you've headed home, and stay up to date on future events and offers on our FB page by searching "Frontier Village 907"
We're located in a rural setting between the two major cities, Fairbanks and North Pole. Being only 15 minutes from everything including the best restaurants and the Santa Claus House, it doesn't get more convenient. Aurora views are awesome, and it's a low traffic area, but right off a paved road and two minutes to the highway. Nestled in a mature birch forest, you'll love the peace and quiet, yet convenient location.
Getting around the neighborhood is very easy. Our driveway is always plowed, your cabin will have two parking spots, and a plug in for your car in the winter months. All of the roads leading to our cabins are paved and maintained.
Kayaks are available for guests to use, as well as a variety of outdoor equipment like hiking packs, snowshoes, hammocks, and tents. If you're feeling adventurous and looking to DIY a day trip, we can get you started. We ask our guests to observe quite hours from 10PM to 8AM.
We also ask that our guests don't flush anything down the toilet that isn't toilet paper. We have a septic system, and it can be damaged by trash and debris.
The cabin is air-conditioned and features a kitchen and a balcony, and there's space to spread out with a separate bedroom. Other standard amenities include a sofa bed, a coffee maker, and a desk.

Nice place. Hosts were great responders to questions and even called when the aurora borealis were out. It was a small cabin, probably no more than two to comfortably fit, but for the two of us, it was great.
