Standard room certainly is that. New air con fitted. Room was stale when we arrived needed airing out was quite the odour. Bathroom felt damp too had odours of wet wood. Usual tired hotel room - stains, but small, not very sound proofed etc but for the price was ok and located ideally near to motorway so did its job for an overnight stay Good breakfast included - worth it for that really

Staff are superb at the hotel. Fairly standard holiday inn of this age- dated in places but not terrible and clean and tidy. Good location next to motoway and on edge of Stoke city too

I'm not one for complaining or writing bad reviews but unfortunately my husband's safety was compromised in what should have been an accessible room. We were informed that there was no lift but a platform to transport (non electric) wheel chair users down the short flight of stairs to the bedrooms. The room we were given though was not an "accessible" one with the grab rails in the bathroom as there had been issues with the toilets in those ones. We were not made aware of this prior to arrival. My husband is not always wheelchair bound so he managed the best he could for the one night we were there. However the main safety concerns were that of the bed. issues is that of the bed.lower than wheel chair height , but on castors so moved and the mattress was soft/bouncy

Everything was perfect, room cleaned and fresh towels everyday. Bed was comfortable and room was warm. Breakfast was hot and a good variety of cooked and continental to choose from. Perfect location for Stoke on Trent and motorway. Staff were lovely, friendly and helpful throughout stay.
