The airport shuttle did not take 30 minutes like advertised. We waited at the airport for over an hour and ended up having to get an uber .

The hotel itself is actually amazing. Clean rooms, great amenities and great location. The staff is horrible. We waited at check in for close to 30min and when someone finally came they told us they were “off the clock”. Same thing happened when we checked out. They seem to be understaffed and don’t want to take accountability for the lack of service as a result of staffing issues.

We were very disappointed with our most recent stay at the Hampton Inn & Suites Newark Airport Elizabeth the weekend of Friday, February 13. We have stayed at this property numerous times over the past three years, which makes this experience especially disappointing. First, the snow removal in the parking lot was poorly handled. It appeared that the contractor hired to clear the lot did not do an adequate job, which significantly limited available parking. Although we were required to pay for parking, there were no spaces available on our second night, forcing us to park in the Ruby Tuesday parking lot next door. Second, our room was not cleaned on Saturday during our stay. Lastly, the hotel was hosting what appeared to be a collegiate athletic team, with multiple busloads of guests. On Sunday morning, the breakfast area was extremely crowded, and several items—including coffee and food—had run out. On a positive note, the room itself was clean upon arrival, and the bed was very comfortable. We have enjoyed staying at this property in the past and would consider returning if the price is reasonable, but we hope improvements are made in managing parking, housekeeping consistency, and breakfast service during high-occupancy weekends.

Clean, friendly staff, very large room, smart TV so you can use your apps, sink in living room area, tv tray at couch. I only had to stay 1 night but everything went smoothly and i would use this place again. Only bad thing is that the zootopia sloths can get you up and down faster than their elevator.
