Friendly, helpful staff at a lovely old hotel. The bed was comfy and clean. Easy walk to the French Quarter and trolly all for a reasonable price.

We really like the room we had, the original room we were put in was not what we had reserved, but Ian was more than accommodating to our wishes and everyone we came in contact with was super friendly and very very professional. Thank you very much. We’ll stay with you guys The next trip to Nola.

It was ok

Booked this for my bf's bday. I chose this hotel based on the asthetics from the pictures as it looked rustic and manly. The staff was friendly. Our room was in the Lafayette side. Im glad we were able bodied since we had to go down some stairs to our room. The room was decent except for the roach that crawled down the wall to say "hi". My bf got sick our 1st night and wanted tea but we could not find any since the cafe/restaurants was closed and there is no coffee/tea maker in the room. I dont feel there were enough "perks" to the $20 room fee per night. I at least got 1 night of the fee deducted for the roach. We didnt eat at the restaurant so not sure about the food.

Okay but nothing special

I had contacted the hotel about letting us leave our bags as we got in earlier than check in and the nice lady at the front let us check in early. The rooms were nice, however, the walls are very thin so we could hear our neighbors and people in the hallway through the walls perfectly. Due to this, it was hard to settle and sleep. The sheet came untucked from the bottom mattress and I noticed an obvious spot on the mattress pad side that appeared to be blood or something. It was obvious it hadn’t been changed from the people before us but was also in a very obvious place. The hotel was conveniently located.

I recently stayed at a 77 Old hotel that promised a relaxing experience, but instead, I found myself dealing with unexpected charges and poor customer service. Upon receiving my bank statement, I was shocked to discover that I had been charged for services I wasn't even aware I could use, such as the gym, phone, and internet. The hotel staff never informed me about these charges, nor did they provide any information about the incidental charges during the check-in process. Instead, they simply charged my card without any prior notice or consent. To make matters worse, the hotel failed to provide a receipt for these charges, leaving me in the dark about the specific services I was being billed for. It was only after multiple phone calls and hours of frustration that I was finally able to get some clarity on the situation. This experience has left a bitter taste in my mouth, and I would strongly advise potential guests to be aware of the hidden charges and poor customer service at this hotel. It's essential to read the fine print and ask questions about any additional fees or charges before agreeing to them, as it seems the hotel is more interested in making a quick buck than providing a comfortable and transparent experience for their guests.

Unexpected fees and rude staff

Staff checking in was rude. Charged $162.51 when checking that was not stated when booking at this property. I had already paid for the room weeks prior. But the added fees were for “damage and amenity” usage that’s supposed to be refundable. They only refunded $62.51. Thank goodness I snapped a time stamped picture of the amenity tray that was untouched before checking out. I will be calling tomorrow about the issue. Also, there was a window in our room that was bricked up, you could hear every movement from guest above and beside you, the floors were dirty, 1 towel in the bathroom for 2 guests.
