Great location and nice place but smaller than expected

Overall it was a good stay. The place was nice and the management was great. We originally booked for a group of 15 but wound up only having 10. If we had all 15 come it wouldn’t have been enough places to sleep, it was full with 10.

Great location

We enjoyed our stay. This is a classic New Orleans style home. There was plenty of room for everyone. The bathrooms were beautiful. The location is great for whatever part of town someone would like to see.

We’d do it again

Great communication from host, property and floors should’ve/could’ve been cleaner. 3 full baths was convenient for travelers. Stairs sketchy after beers lol

Lodging Experience in New Orleans

Our stay at this Big Balcony was ok. The neighborhood was aesthetics was the best. With 5 guest the rooms wasn’t really private. The upstairs room layout looks like you’re staying in a closet. The stairs between upstairs and downstairs are pretty steep and not built for heavy foot traffic. In the one room there’s piece of pile wood covering the window. Honestly had we read the reviews we probably would’ve been more prepared or opted another unit. Overall we were able to manage with the lodging. The property manager was very helpful.

Haunted Weekend in New Orleans

We had an amazing weekend at our VRBO. Prime location and close to most everything. Riding the trolley was a bonus!! Just a short walk, a few blocks down to canal and we rode the trolley everywhere. We walked the neighborhood at night from Canal and felt completely safe. Beautiful location! The upper patio was the icong in the cake. We loved sitting outside and enjoying an adult beverage ❤️ Thanks for hosting a great weekend 🎃👻

Great stay!

Slept me and my friends very comfortably! Owner was nice and good communication. Only thing was we had to wash the sheets before sleeping on them because they weren’t properly washed but besides that everything was great.

My first time in New Orleans

Genesis was super helpful and responsive during my trip. The home was beautiful and a great location to really experience the community of the city. We were close to the bus stop and walking distance from some great local food spots and bars.

Super cute place

This place was so cute. The balcony and patio areas were prefect for sitting outside in the evenings. The lack of a communal seating area was a little odd, but it worked fine for us as we weren't there much anyway, and we have a bunch of teens. So, we just gave them them the entire upstairs area, which made them happy. The host was very responsive with any questions we had. The place was clean. The beds (at least downstairs) were soooo comfy. The kitchen didn't have much to cook with, but we made it work. Again, we weren't there much anyway. It's on a busy street so parking was a little tricky at times, but it was nice to be so close to everything. We would definitely recommend this host/place to our friends.

Overall it was a decent home

Pros: The manager is very communicative. Any issue we had Genesis was willing to fix it immediately. The beds are very comfortable! The AC works great! The noise level was low. Cons: There aren’t really any spaces for you to sit down. There’s not a living room with couches and chairs so it was somewhat awkward when my family wanted to hang out together. The people before us had broken out a window. They didn’t report it and the curtain was covering it and we didn’t understand how so many mosquitoes and bugs were getting into the home. The front door lock sticks and you have to push really hard on the door to open and close. The steps are VERY steep!! Overall, the owner does a GREAT job communicating. The window wasn’t their fault and they did the best they could to remedy the situation. Parking was easy and many times we found spots right in front or on the side of the home. I think if the owner added couches and chairs to the upstairs area it would’ve made it more comfortable.
