Communication from the host was excellent, and they were very accommodating and flexible with our check in. The cabin itself was very clean and comfortable. Appliances have all been updated, and the hot tub was also very clean. Location is a good balance between secluded enough to enjoy the quiet of the cabin, but close enough to shops for food/essentials. Overall a great find! Definitely would stay here again when visiting the Hocking Hills area.

Had a wonderful weekend trip! Everyone including the dog had fun! The only thing I would change, is the lighting was a little dark. The remote to the t.v was a little hard to read. But not enough that we wouldn't book again. Everything was very clean. The beds weren't too bad either, a little bit more springy than we were all used to, but we all slept well. So peaceful! Enjoyed the hot tub as well! There was a cute little baby bird that had nested in one of the lights by the door. It was fun watching the momma come and go to feed the baby.

Hot tub did not work for most of the time. Time to replace or provide details of no refund policy clearly. Overcharge because graduation weekend at Ohio. Beware. 84 temp at check in. Very frustrating as every cabin has a hot tub!!! In the area

We recently stayed at this cabin and overall had a decent, mostly relaxing experience, though there were a few issues future guests should know about.Hot Tub:The hot tub was a bit disappointing. Only the vent jets worked, and the water never got very warm. It was around 30 degrees during our stay, so that may have played a part, but it still didn’t heat the way we expected.Check-In & Check-Out:Check-in was smooth and easy.Check-out was a little inconvenient because the store where we were supposed to drop off the key was locked—not open an hour before the official checkout time.Overall:Despite the issues, the cabin itself was cozy and relaxing. It gave us space to unwind, enjoy the quiet, and even dream about having our own cabin someday. With some repairs and more consistent maintenance, this place could easily become a great getaway spot.

This cabin was beautiful. Clean and cozy, with a nice kitchen. The setting was very peaceful and the fire pit and swing were lovely. The cabin is also handicapped accessible with a lot of nice features.

The cabin smelled like wet dog when we walked in and the hot tub had a funny smell too. There were all the things we needed in the kitchen for themeals we cooked. Overall it was a good experience.

Cabin in the woods - Pets allowed

We had a nice stay and the layout and location of the cabin were excellent. The price was just fine and we were able to book short notice. We have a small dog, so we needed something that was pet friendly. The cabin looked clean, but smelled of animal urine through the duration. My guess is that many dogs have been through there. This may not be a big deal to many pet lovers, but was a bit much for us. We were staying a short time, so no reason to let it spoil our time. We tried to avoid the couch that smelled the worst and go enjoy the surrounding area. One thing of note is the hot tub is in rough shape. It is missing a headrest and another one was all warped and broken up. The cover is also worn and difficult to remove or replace. Not a deal breaker in summer heat for us, but something we noticed. Other than that, we really liked the place. The linens were clean and they offered Wi-Fi. The bathroom was nice and the AC blew cold. We enjoyed our time there, but will likely board our dog next time and opt for a property that does not allow pets. Overall 4/5!

Loved it!

Property was very clean, inside and out. Loved that the hot tub is under a roof to protect us from the rain. It is set back in the woods, so it's very private. Check in and out was super quick. We had absolutely no issues during our stay!

Perfect getaway in the woods

The cottage was adorable and very clean. Bedrooms were a good size and had plenty of beds to go around. Only complaint is the kitchen was REALLY small and the doors were a bit difficult to lock. Outdoor space was great, loved the the hot tub and fire pit. Would absolutely fo back!

Very quiet stay with our pets.

We had a very nice stay at hawk's nest over the weekend. The boys had the loft to themselves and my daughter had her own room which was perfect for them! They welcomed both our service animal and our family pet. It was quiet and secluded back in the driveway and there were deer and rabbits in the yard. It was a little bit crazy trying to check in. We had been driving for 5 hours in the rain and we're just ready to be stopped. And there was a large group in the deli trying to order food so we had to wait quite a while. Something that could not be helped. Obviously. The only other negative was we lost power for 2 hours but that was also no one's fault. There were a lot of storms and I believe a tree fell on the power lines. The only thing I would request is that emergency candles were placed somewhere in the cabin for things like this. Other than that it was a fantastic stay!

Family spring break

We had a great trip to Hocking Hills! The cabin was nice and had everything we needed. Loved the area around the fire pit. Only issues we had were the hot tub was cleaned the day we arrived so we were unable to use it the first night because the water temperature was too cold. We only spent 2 nights so it was unfortunate we only had the hot tub for 1 day. Also, the lights above the hot tub did not work which was a little disappointing. My kids were looking forward to being in the hot tub in the evening with the lights.

Beautiful cozy cabin

Had a wonderful weekend with family . The fire area is wonderful just wish it had been warmer so we could have enjoyed it more.

Great check in and check out! Directions to cabin were clear. Property was super clean with plenty of towels and wash cloths.

Great Getaway

We wanted a place to "getaway" for a few days and this fit the bill perfectly. We enjoyed the cozy cabin the hot tub and the beautiful natural surroundings.

Great location but not accurately listed

The location and property is awesome. A lot of room outside with a great view. On the listing it lists washer,dryer,microwave, and 1500 sq ft cabin and none of that was true. No washer no dryer and the cabin is no where close to 1500sq ft. The usable space was clean, the beds were comfortable but there are a lot of cobwebs on the high ceiling (one of which fell on my head while i was on the couch) the kitchen is very dim in lighting so its hard to cook in there. I also wasnt a fan of the check in process having to go 15 mins out of the way to get and return the cabin key. We still had a good time and it wasn't the worst place I've stayed at but its much smaller then listed and not the ammentities they listed, and for the price i dont think we got what we were expecting. If they listed it properly and cleaned the ceilings i would have a much better review
