The breakfast was very good, staff kept the food available for the many people who came through. We had a handicapped room at the rear corner of the property. A/C unit was noisy. Bins for dirty linens were stored right outside our room. Handicapped bathroom was recently renovated but the marble-like tile was VERY slippery when wet. I asked at the office for a rubber mat but nothing was available. Since my husband has poor balance this was dangerous. I laid towels on the floor of the shower and in his path so he wouldn't fall. Also to get to the breakfast from our room we had to walk from the back of the motel and then climb a half flight of stairs to get to the elevator. Otherwise I would have to drive him around from our room to the front to avoid the stairs. I realize that some of this is unavoidable due to the construction of the building, but the slippery floors and noisy A/C could certainly be addressed.

The property needs some updates— the doors, walls and curtains were all worn. There were small gnats all over the room. They moved us to a different room— but that room was worst quality and still had the gnats. But it was after 1130 and we had an 4am drive to the airport so we didn’t want to move again

When we arrived to check in there was another guest requesting a refund due to their room being dirty and having bugs in it. I wasn’t sure what to think so checked in and went to see our room. Our room was also somewhat unclean and upon entering we did find 2 bugs and 2 more later that evening. Having hard to find another hotel short notice in walking distance to Broadway for a reasonable price we went and bought wipes to clean some surfaces and checked for bugs regularly and kept most of our belongings in our car to prevent taking “friends” home. The front desk staff also was not that friendly very glad we only had 2 interactions with them. Didn’t see much other staff or maids while there at our stay. I will say the area around the hotel was convenient kinda sad for what you get.

They're going to get your money one way or another

We were only there for one night it was clean and comfortable. They charged us $20 for parking that we did not expect or did not notice it on the hotels.com because hotels.com said the price I paid was for everything. I found out they charged the room next door 27 for parking because those folks got the room $7 cheaper to another booking service

First this property was decent for the one night stay we had. Room was clean, front desk was kind…etc. The noise is why I have it a mid rating. Yes, construction is going on around it, but that’s out of their control. The issue was being right next to a smoke shack gazebo. I was awakened several times throughout the night by guests who were LITERALLY right outside my door, laughing and talking as if it were daytime. I’m talking it was after midnight and because of the location of my room, I could hear the loud and apparently hilarious social activity going on in the wee hours. That is why I have such a low rating.

There was a 2in cockroach in our room. The front desk staff was very nice and very accommodating when our issue was brought to their attention, otherwise it would have been 0 stars.
