We agreed to pay an upcharge for a room not on the outside (motel-like, sketchy) rooms. But were refused anything in writing delineating the amount of that charge (desk clear said to trust her, it will be what she says upon checkout—besides, “that fee amount changes every day”). We decided to cancel our whole reservation, but once we declined to give back our signed, vague, fishy-ready registration form, desk staff yelled, handed us a printout for four nights of the upcharges, and threatened to call the police. “Please do,” I said, at which time a call took place, but in a foreign language. I decided to call the police myself for assistance simply to leave without being charged. The clerk’s call, meanwhile, resulted in a manager (who previously was “unavailable to assist us with our concerns until tomorrow”) suddenly materializing from the back room. With police help, we received a full refund and left for greener pastures.
Stay away, please.
