Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a great time. Hale Kai is privately owned with an on-site management company, that is great to deal with. The wonderful thing about the proximity to the ocean is being able to watch the whales in the channel, and the sea turtles on the beach at the location. The view is exceptional. The entire complex is well maintained an clean. The entire setting is excellent. We recommend the place to all our friends.

First time in Maui

Rating Details: I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. I was more than happy with the location. The vacation rental was very clean. The property manager was very helpful. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I celebrated our 1st year anniversary in Maui and decided to stay at Hale Kai. We were so happy we did! The place was very clean when we arrived. We did find a couple of dirty clothes that must've been left by previous renters, but otherwise, everything was clean. There was no AC, but the trade winds, along with the ceiling fans and the breeze from the ocean when you open the patio doors kept the place cool. We also had the conveniences of home, a kitchen, tv with cable, bath and beach towels. It was nice to lounge outside by the pool although we didn't get much of a chance to do so. We saw sea lions and turtles while we were there! It was amazing :) It was nice to have the farmer's market and a coffee shop across the street. There's also a supermarket that's within walking distance. Valerie was also very helpful. She was prompt with emails, answering our questions and concerns. I would highly recommend Hale Kai and room 215 to vacationers! :) Manager responded on 10/8/2012: Aloha Robert Mahalo for the kind words. I enjoy my job and love our guests.
