I was shocked that the ocean view room my wife was looking so forward to was a garden view despite the fact we had a picture provided by expedia showing ocean front view . Expedia cheated us with false information. Fortunately the hotel had one ocean view left for $80 more dollars plus tax. Expedia should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of seniors. thank you

A beautiful ocean view, friendly helpful staff, great restaurant food, a patio where we could enjoy dinner and bring our dog, Nespresso coffee in the room, comfortable beds…this is a little gem in Parksville. The building is older but clean and comfortable and the location provides spectacular sunrise views. We will definitely stay here again.

The check-in was easy and quick. The room itself was modern and clean. It’s the details that count, however, as the room could have used another night stand and an additional chair besides the “desk chair” We ate dinner at the Bayside Restaurant in the hotel and food was marginal at best but it was the portion sizes that really disappointed. The prices were very high for both the quality and size and represented little value for the money. My spouse was not happy that her dinner chowder soup was soon finished after 9 or 10 spoonful's and for $15 she would have expected more. My stuffed chicken dish was mostly rice and for $35 I would have expected a chicken chest and not a chicken thigh. I would not recommend dining at this restaurant as offsite restaurants would offer more choices and value. I am not one to complain but I was very unhappy with this experience.
