Booked a 1 bdrm ocean view suite at least 2 months in advance for 7 nights and arrived to a very dated, small suite with a corner ocean view (end unit, curved balcony). After expressing our disappointment, the Guest Svcs Mgr promised to move us via text after checkout the next day to an updated unit, since there would be a few becoming available after checkout. Also, there would be a key so we could look at the unit first. We packed everything, including kitchen food & drinks purchased, and went to Front Desk at checkout (11am). The Guest Svcs Mgr didn't work that day and the Front Desk wasn't aware/said there was no key available yet but said we'd have to wait while guests were checked out. Then we stood there and watched them check IN at least three people FOUR HOURS EARLY, and when I approached the Front Desk again because we didn't want to stand there all morning, we were finally told there was nothing available for us to move into because they were all sold since the time we were told units would be available. Spoke to Guest Svcs Mgr when we checked out and she said they could have moved things around! Would have been nice if she left those instructions at the Front Desk. So, Guest Svcs mislead me and the Front Desk also mislead me (or they are so incompetent they didn't know how to "move things around"). We left after a week in an ugly suite. Very unprofessional, no follow-through and very dated property from what we saw. Would not return.
