Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The bathrooms were not cleaned at all, the vacuum cleaner was broke. The house had nice appliances and furniture but it was very dirty. The carpeting needs replaced as well, filthy.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall, great vacation. Very few issues. Unit 113 needs some repairs. AC struggled all week to keep the unit at 70 degrees. Lighting in the master bedroom closet was 3/4 out, closet door in bottom rear bedroom needed to be repaired or replaced. Window in family room(middle level) was cracked. Exhaust fan on bottom level didn't work.

Gulf Stream Villa 113

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was very happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We always loved 113 until this year. There have been no upgrades down. The fridge constantly spit ice cubes out, there were tons of light bulbs out, there is rust on all the vents, there are dust bunnies, that dining room table has been sticky for the last 6 years (buy a new one) or refinished the top, the wooden steps are rotted and not nailed in all the way. Pieces of wood get caught in your foot if you are barefoot.

Garden City Vacation

Reviewer Comments: The property was in a good location, right on the beach and the pool was a great amenity. The location of the townhouse was close to shopping and the pier.When we arrived the house was dirty, we had to clean the kitchen floor, the dining room table (it was sticky and gross) and all the kitchen counters. All over the house was dingy and dirty, it didn't look the pictures. The paint needs to be updated, the carpets on the stairs need to be replaced or at least cleaned. Whenever you walked in the house, you got a weird smell. The deck on the main level is sagging and looks dangerous. The main level door is very hard to open from the outside even after calling the realty company to oil and clean the door jam (it was disgusting). The queen bed mattress in the downstairs bedroom was so lumpy and almost impossible to sleep on. We called the realty company to fix a couple problems which they finally came out the next day to do. The towel rack in the main bedroom is finally fixed. The house is in a good location but definitely needs some updating and a better cleaning company. I was not impressed for the price we paid for the week.

I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We have been staying in this unit for eight years now. And definitely things can be fixed by the owner. Especially for the amount we pay per week. The light in the shower in the upstairs bedroom has not worked for the last three years. The dining room table is extremely sticky and it has been like that since we have been renting there. The washer machine ruins clothes, so that also should be replaced and or fixed. Lastly, the wood floors. You have beautiful wood floors in the upstairs bedroom. I would do that throughout the second floor. Those floors are very uneven and cut my daughter’s foot badly this vacation. Also, the couches could be changed. They are extremely uncomfortable as are the chairs. I just wish that this unit was updated. It truly is our favorite vacation and we will continue to come, but I hope that the owner truly takes this into consideration and updates the property. We spend a lot of money every year and I think it’s time for him to update his property.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Garden city Realty is wonderful to work with. Our condo was ready around 11 on Saturday morning. They send a text message and you have a code to enter the unit. The ac on the top level wasn’t working. They had someone there within 20 minutes. The unit wasn’t very clean and the sofas and chairs need to be replaced. And the outdoor chairs also need replacing. Beds were very comfortable. Nice kitchen with anything you might need. Biggest problem was the cleanliness of the unit. We just cleaned a little and had a fabulous week! Plan to stay next year.

Garden City Realty staff were outstanding; 4 stars for cleanliness, condo smelled musty when we arrived, not quite as fresh as last year. Once I sprayed and wiped down everything it was better. Noticed track lights in kitchen were very dusty, as was the ceiling vents. Everything else looked very good. Reservation in place for next year.

It truly is a premier property with updated kitchen, bathrooms, large bedrooms and super-clean overall. The view of the ocean from the top floor bedroom is by far the best any in Garden City! These units are in a quiet part of the beach and you cannot heat other tenants in other units. We will definitely try to stay in this unit again!

Disappointed Misrepresentation

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed at 113 Gulfstream Villa, and we had stayed there 5 years ago. On the website, the pix of the 1/2 bath and master bath were shown with the doors closed just enough that you can't see bathtubs. 1/2 bath was under repair, 3rd floor bath had tub removed, shower installed without any handrails, had an old rusty shower rod and rusty shelf on faucet!! Very disappointed for the amount we paid for the unit!

The filters on the air intakes hadn't been changed in years. There are streaks of black mold all over the ceilings adjacent to large air vents.My husband and I both developed respiratory infections and had to complete a course of antibiotics. Everyone in our party was symptomatic during our stay. If you have allergies this is NOT the place for you.

Fun Time for all

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: It was a great vacation and the Condo was very nice on the surface. It does need a little TLC.1. The toilet in the half bath needs attention, as it moves back and forth. It also needs a safety plate on the outlet.2. The mattress in the downstairs back bedroom was not comfortable. The shower in that bathroom needs to have some safety strips in the tub, this could be a safety issue as it was very slippery3. The screen was broken on the sliders in the dining room area. The garbage disposal had a problem.4. After our short visit from Tropical Storm Julia the third floor bedroom had a puddle of water on the carpet and it was leaking through to the living room below (above a TV set)5. The balcony on the second level could use some repair, it felt a little soft under the indoor-outdoor carpet.Overall, it was a great location and would probably rent this unit again.

Family Vacation

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Overall we love the location and set up of this property. Having our own private pool is a really nice and important feature. The layout/floor plan is perfect for our family and the closet in the master bedroom was perfect for our 22mo. old. We put her in there in the pack and play and she slept soundly. We had some major housekeeping and maintenance issues during our stay. The property was filthy dirty upon arrival. We called housekeeping and they were very nice and prompt to solve the issues, but they were on sight for over an hour cleaning what should have already been done. There was a picture that had fallen off the wall, just laying in the entry way. There was a broken chair in the sitting room off of the kitchen. Both were supposed to be picked up by maintenance, neither were. There were at lease 10 light bulbs that were burned out throughout the property that had to be replaced and one outside fixture that was completely broken. No one from Garden City Realty company seemed to care or even ask about our experience, which was disappointing and we will not be renting through them in the future.Garden City/Murrells Inlet is a fantastic place to vacation with family, I would highly recommend it. For the money we spent to have the week with our family at the beach, the property should have been in much better shape and I would not pay the price we did to rent this unit again.

Farmer Vacation 2016

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time. I do have a few comments. We stayed in this exact Villa in Oct 2015. Towel bar in the masterbath was broken then and is still broken. Also some broken out door furniture on the grounds in Oct and is still there. Overall the Villa was dirty. Baseboards and carpeting is dirty. Carpet really needs replacing. The mattress in the lower back bedroom on the queen bed is in very bad condition. We couldn't even sleep on it. The bathrooms in general could use some updates. There are also many exposed nails/screws on the steps leading down to the pool. My children cut their feet. Overall we had a great time, but for the money paid think a few improvements are required.
