The idea of being in the Tuscan countryside is beautiful until you spend a night at Bosco della Spina. We should’ve spent a little more and gone to another nearby property with more amenities. This property is located about 30 minutes outside of Siena, Taxis from Siena cost €70 each way. One must have a car if staying here. We were first turned off with their extremely uncomfortable bed and pillows. It was easier to sleep on the floor. Then guest services informed us of a €2 surcharge for extra towels for their pool. Seating is very limited in the pool area. Not much to do in the area and public transportation is very limited. The breakfast options are not worth the charge and the dinner is not great.

Really liked this place. Lovely place to take it easy. Covered pool which was great, meant we could actually use it unlike anywhere it seems with an outdoor pool this time of year (October). Not much to do near to the hotel but this I guess is the point of a retreat! They have a restaurant which looked good. Room very comfortable, large bathroom and separate sitting area. Recommended.

Lovely.

Lovely place. We spent 4 nights here and even though it was October and starting to cool off a little - we could still have a swim to finish a busy day. Loved setting and great views from the apartment. Only downside was the WiFi was annoying. It would constantly kick us out and We had to keep logging in many times each day.

The apartment at Bosco della Spina was spacious, beautiful and immaculately clean. The grounds and swimming pool were well kept and the food at the restaurant was excellent. All staff were incredibly helpful. As a family of four, we had a great stay.
