Bedbugs! I found a bedbug just before going to bed. I showed it to the night manager (in a tissue) and asked for a different room. They didn't have another and since it was nearly midnight I was forced to stay, tucked into the sack of the duvet to keep from being bitten. After a very disturbed night, I requested a refund from the manager. He refused, was in complete denial that they could possibly have bedbugs, insisted it was a spider (it CLEARLY was a bedbug and I have the photos to prove it and will post them - it wasn't even articulated like a spider, it was a bedbug) and then accused me of trying to blackmail him! So I'm sure based on that attitude that they have done nothing to address their bedbug problem. And otherwise, the hotel is in a dumpy industrial neighborhood with nothing around. So, you can decide whether this is your kind of place.

Do not stay here. This was an awful decision for a one night stay in Munich when I had a layover. I called that day prior to arrival to make sure the restaurant was open. I was told it was until 10 PM. I also called and asked about transportation to the hotel from the airport and I was told I was too late because the shuttle need to be booked 24 hours in advance. The person on the phone was extremely rude and laughed at me while on the phone call. I was traveling with my husband and my 82-year-old father with Alzheimer’s disease. When we arrived to check in, I was told the restaurant was closed and had been closed for the last month. I was also told in order to take a shuttle. I did not need a reservation 24 hours prior. At this point I was irate! I asked to speak to the manager and explained there were huge huge mistakes in communication on their part. The only thing he said he could do for me was to provide a shuttle to the airport the next day. This hotel is a 20 minute drive from the airport. The cab to get there cost me over €80. I also asked on the phone how much the cab cost would be and I receive no answer. I was told that is not their job. So so disappointed and can’t believe the best western name is on this place. Oh also, I forgot to mention the extremely uncomfortable, hard beds and the scratchy old sheets.

Fab hotel near the Therma Spa

We were visiting as a group of 8 (2 families with teens) and had 2 family rooms booked. We booked this hotel to be near the Therma Spa and it was perfect for that, we walked there and was a really easy walk. The hotel Restaurant was closed on the day we were there but we were recommended a lovely Italian which was about a 3 min walk from the hotel and was really nice. There is also a Lidl and McDonald’s within a few minutes walk. This hotel does say it’s an Airport hotel, but we found this quite a way from the airport but I guess it depends how far you consider to be close to the airport. We travelled onto Salzburg by train and walked to the station, again an easy 15/20 walk. Overall a fab stay with super comfy rooms
