We really enjoyed our stay! With all of our littles and pets, going away just me and my husband for an anniversary celebration wasn’t an option. But an escape to a fairy cottage in the woods with everyone in tow?? Yes please! We had such a lovely relaxing time, Mt Giles had plenty to do for all of us! Stopped by the state park for the kids and some nature walks, and then stopped at the Cote winery for drinks and wine to bring home.

Quiet and Private

This cabin is nicely situated and more than met our needs. We were in the area to work for a few days and wanted something quieter and more private than a motel, where we could have our pet with us and cook our own meals. Although it was cold and snowy during our stay, we were warm and cozy. The owner was friendly and helpful. We would certainly stay here again.

Awesome weekend

My sister and I came from Cleveland and Columbus to stay at the cottage for two nights on a weekend in late October. The property was very clean and also well stocked with just about anything we could need. I appreciated the thorough communication from the owner. She offered lots of detailed information on activities and restaurants in the area as well as clear instructions regarding check-in and check-out. The location is great - surrounded by trees, it feels isolated enough to be relaxing but it is actually very close to convenient shopping, eateries and parks. I am certain this place would be beautiful any time of year, but our choice of timing was perfect with the fall colors all around. We had a lovely visit - we sat outside by the fire eating chili, drinking hot cocoa and roasting marshmallows. There were lots of birds visiting the feeders right outside the windows. We saw deer from the living room on more than one occasion. This was my first experience renting on Vrbo and I'd definitely recommend it!

Host was wonderful

Had a great time with my family in what we called “the cabin in the woods”. When we were not at our tournament, we were able to relax and have fun family time there. They have many indoor and outdoor games and we enjoyed marshmallows at the fire pit. The host was very attentive and a pleasure to deal with.

Great place to stay.

Very clean and well taken care of, excellent location, quiet and peaceful. Great place to stay. Janel was very personable and helpful. This cabin has great history and is in a beautiful location. We enjoyed the area-Galion, Mt Gilead, and Marion as well as all the little towns in between. Our dogs were very happy with the fenced in area-very dog friendly. Thank you Janel! Hope to visit the cabin again.

Birthday Trip to the woods

This property was perfect for our trip. We spent 3 nights relaxing, birding, and visiting sites in and near Mt Gilead. Owner was very responsive. We would definitely stay here again.

Best Getaway Cabin

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. It was very peaceful. The host allowed us to bring our dog, and had snacks for us left out for when we arrived. There was outdoor games (I didn't know Yardtze was a thing, and not I want one!), indoor games, books and magazines. It was secluded enough to be peaceful, but still close to things in case you needed it (like Dollar General and Kroger). Also close to Mt. Gilead State Park. I would stay here again for SURE and would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a cabin in this area.

Cabin in the woods

Very clean cabin. Was just what we needed and the owners were very responsive. Came down for a wedding and had plenty of room for all of us to get ready. Was a little chilly at night but we were all able to stat warn around the fire pit. Owners offered free firewood which was a pleasant surprise so we didn't have to pack it with us in an already crowded car. Would be staying here anytime we come in the area to see family.

This is a very quiet place... nice and relaxing. Many places to eat and opportunities to just relax. Great place to bring the small dogs with a fenced in area. They had all of the creature comforts of home!
