Alyeska Resort
5/5 Excellent
"We stayed at Alyeska Resort for my husband’s birthday, and overall it was an amazing experience, especially the hydrotherapy spa. If you’re considering going, do it.
We booked a Signature King with a Mountain View and arrived before noon to check in. The front desk wasn’t able to check us in early and recommended we go ahead and enjoy the hydrotherapy circuit since we already had reservations for the day. The spa is open from 10 AM to 9 PM, and honestly, it’s the highlight of the resort. The hot/cold therapy experience, relaxation areas, and scenery made it feel like a true getaway. We could have stayed there all day (and almost did).
When we returned to check in, we hit a small snag, the room we prepaid through Expedia (Mountain View) wasn’t showing correctly in their system. Initially, we were offered a room without the view we paid for, which was frustrating, especially since this was meant to be a celebration. After speaking with the manager, who was thoughtful, patient, and genuinely helpful, we were upgraded to a high floor with the correct room type and a beautiful mountain view. That gesture absolutely made the stay feel special, and I appreciated the empathy and willingness to resolve the issue.
Food-wise, we tried a few of the restaurants onsite and everything was consistently delicious. Service around the resort, from spa staff to restaurant servers, was warm and welcoming. "
