Its just ok

The hotel itself is very nice but rooms are extremely out dated. Our room was very large but awkwardly laid out and the heat wasnt working correctly on our floor so they gave us a bunch of space heaters... it was quite cold and they didnt give us amy discount whatsoever.

We chose The Grant Hall because of the photos and reviews on-line and this hotel truly exceeded our stay expectations. We were greeted by front desk Guest Services, “Solo”. His welcoming energy and knowledge of the historical grounds of this hotel were intriguing. He, being our ‘first impression’ of The Grant Hall had us loving our choice of stay before we even saw our room. Our room was a beautiful, King suite, the sheets were so soft, decor, stunning set in Old Victorian style. The washroom was large, clean and spacious with all you need to feel welcomed. Toiletries were plentiful and of high quality. We stayed and ate in the hotel restaurant and OMG, as ‘foodies’, it was the most amazing meals (10/10). We had calamari to start, glass of Pinot and a cold Canadian draft. Main course; he had the ribeye, med-rare with with broccolettes. I had the lobster and shrimp pasta … all was superb! We definitely recommend The Grant Hall for anyone staying in Moose Jaw. Again, Solo, you are amazing at your job and we thank you for making us feel so ‘at home’. 10/10 in all aspects of our stay. Had an enjoyable one night stay in this beautifully restored historic hotel. Our executive one bedroom was beautifully appointed and very clean. The King bed was very comfortable. The dining room and lounge had excellent service and food and drinks. A little futile trying to get helpful morning room service but lots of cafes and coffee shops within walking distance. Overall a positive experience staying at Grant Hall.

Property had an old traditional look to it. Staff was very friendly. Was a very cold night when we stayed there and everywhere in the building was cold. Guessing this had to do with the age of the property and lack of insulation/ heating. We ate at the restaurant, had a very traditional high end feel, unfortunately I can’t say the same for the food. Ordered a steak dinner($65). Steak was well over cooked and took an extremely long time to recieve. Overall I wasn’t very impressed with my stay, I would recommend a stay if your looking for a classic/ old experience.
