We greatly enjoyed our stay at the Hotel Terrasse Royale! The staff is friendly and helpful (we loved Mo!). Our room was on the opposite side of the street and we didn't find it noisy at all. The room was also very spacious with a door separating the bedroom from the kitchen/sofa/tv area. The location is great with secured underground paid parking. It is located on a street that has two big grocery stores, a local veggie & fruit seller (Les Trottier), a good mix of restaurants (fast food to sit down), cafes (locally owned & chains like Starbucks) and a SAQ (liquor store). There is a metro station a block a away and it is close to transit stops on major routes. We had a car, but it was just easier to take the metro to Old Montreal & downtwon and not have to fight for parking.

The rooms at this hotel are excellent - large bed and large room. However, the hotel lobby is very small and needs updating. However, I would still highly recommend this hotel!

Overall excellent location to everything. The only complaint I have was that there was no parking available at the Hotel. We were told it was full. As a paying guest this was disappointing. We had to park 2 blocks away.

Staff is nice. Had some carpet beetles in the room. Not quite as well-equipped as some other longterm stay places. But very convenient to University of Montreal and very reasonably priced.

The hotel was clean and provided all the amenities that we needed. It is walking distance to a variety of cafes, restaurants, grocery stores and a metro station. We even walked to Saint Joseph’s Oratory of Mount Royal from the hotel which was a spectacular and beautiful place to tour. The only thing that the hotel advertises that is questionable is that the rooms are sound proof. We could hear noise from the room next to us. Other than that, I would recommend staying at this hotel.

Very nice accommodation, terrible level of customer service. Poor communication, unclear rules and expectations. don’t smoke on the balconies or they will literally lose it on you and make you feel like the scum of the earth… will never stay there again…

The hotel is located in a great part of Montreal less than a ten minute walk from the Oratory, with plenty of great restaurants and convenience shops nearby. The hotel itself was clean, the rooms are nicely sized with great accommodations. I very much recommend this hotel!
