It was pretty bad, it's like a restaurant with a couple rooms, the room was too hot they never turned the AC even though they said they would, the location was good though. But yes I wouldn't recommend

Nice place to stay, close to centre

Characterful and nicely designed place in the charming Barrio Antiguo, which is directly next to the city centre, so easy walking distance of all the sights. Room was comfortable, wifi good, nice back court for sitting out/socialising with other guests if you like, and nice staff.

"La Casa del barrio, en pleno Barrio Antiguo de Monterrey, ofrece una experiencia fantástica. El descanso está asegurado con camas muy confortables y la limpieza general es excelente, además de contar siempre con agua caliente.
