Great location for walking the shoreline. The room was hot, stuffy and musty. The only entrance to our room was a patio door. The screen didn't stay on the track or lock, and there wasn't a window or air-conditioner. I found a ball of hair on the floor that looked like it had been pulled out of a brush. We had two rooms. The day before the rooms were confirmed as being next to each other. When we arrived the desk clerk said that he didn't know why anyone would have told us that.

The location is very good, easy short walk to the ocean and easy driving distance to the cute downtown area. Staff was pleasant. Hotel is somewhat dated; they still use keys, for instance, and shower tile is from 80s. Price was quite reasonable

I rented the balcony with water view, i called prior to booking and when i arrived i noticed the locatand even confirmed with the staff of the ocean view and she said "yes you can see the water from your room" there was no wayer near. Location, staff, and distance to shopping was great. The room and hotel was outdated. Not what i was hoping for

The property is close to Pacific Grove GC. Property is in need of repair as handrails not smooth. Parking stalls not painted properly. No interior fans as warm during our stay in Monterey. Bed cover was torn needed replaced. We like the property but needs some tlc

This place was nice due to the proximity of the beach. Its walkable about 2 blocks. We didn't care for the room because it was stuffy kinda muggy, no a/c unit, no windows except for the sliding glass front door. No air circulation, there is a fan provided but you need to leave glass door open without being able to lock it overnight in order to get air into room. Also the ceiling in the room had alot of brown stains. All in all we had a good stay and woke up to a beautiful rainy morning

Very good basic accommodation. Furniture a bit old but clean and bed comfortable. Could do with a vending machine on site just for a drink and snacks. Nice quiet area, very easy drive to local town and tourist spots

A Last-Minute Birthday Getaway

I recently celebrated my birthday with a solo, last-minute trip to Pacific Grove and couldn't have asked for a better stay at the Olympia Lodge! The friendly woman at the front desk not only provided a warm welcome but also upgraded me to a room with a balcony, which was the perfect touch to make my birthday trip special. The room was big and spacious, with plenty of room to unwind after a day of exploring. The location was fantastic - easy to walk down to the beach and with convenient parking. I loved watching the sunset from my balcony, feeling the ocean breeze, and enjoying the peaceful atmosphere. The area is beautiful, with plenty of scenic spots to discover. The staff's kindness and hospitality made my solo trip feel truly special. I'd definitely recommend the Olympia Lodge to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway in Pacific Grove.

Property is about 3-4 blocks from the ocean, offering good opportunities for impressive photos. Marginal breakfast. My room had a screen door repeated off its track and hard to open snd close.
